I have been a patient at this office for 2 years. This year I had my second physical. Overall the front desk staff is great and the 2 physicians I have seen in person were also good. The only issue I have ran into staff wise is Ms. Kitty, she does have a friendly side but she is very demanding when bringing me back for vitals and has a tendency to speak to me as if Im a child and or stupid. My first situation with her, I came in and at the time I had a shoulder injury that had my entire upper back and shoulder area in a great deal of pain. She demanded that I remove my scrub jacket in order to have my blood pressure taken, after explaining to her that I was in pain, she persisted in telling me that the only way my reading will be accurate is to remove my jacket. Number one, I myself have worked clinic in healthcare for 14 years now, realistically a blood pressure CAN be taken AND be accurate with long sleeves on. Number two, as a healthcare worker, I was never taught in the many offices I have worked in, that is ok to force a patient to remove shoes or long sleeves during vitals. Sure it is suggested but you never ARGUE with a patient about these small things. My second visit she brought me back and demanded that I keep my palms open during my blood pressure. Again, maybe this is protocol in her office but it is not a standard requirement and in this event as well, the ISSUE was her demanding I do it and repeating her demand when I moved one of my arms where there was no cuff attached!! Her tone and personality while interacting screams “I am in control, you do what I say”. Today she calls me, to explain the reason behind me not being called for ABNORMAL lab results that I have waited for over a week and personally hand delivered to the office myself!! I have left 3 messages in addition to dropping the results off in person. Instead of her just apologizing for the confusion and apologizing to me THE PATIENT who has been suffering due to these abnormal results, she spoke loudly over top of me, cut me off every time I tried to ask a detailed question and then began to YELL and tell me she will not continue my call because I am speaking to her like a child!! YES at some point within her having an attitude and not letting me get a word out, my tone did change and rightfully so!!! She proceeded to end my call with her, not only while I was still speaking but I also had additional questions that went un-answered!! I never write reviews about healthcare workers, because as one I get that we have some pretty bad days and unfortunately sometimes, some pretty rude patients, however I am fed up at this point with the way she has treated me in the past and then spoke to me today by phone. She will be the reason I seek care elsewhere and that is not ok!! The bottom line is healthcare workers are supposed to take pride in respect and compassion and she CLEARLY lacks BOTH heavily and its very disappointing!!! I could never treat or speak to one of my patients the way that she has me, and still take pride in being their HELP!!
My father came here for an issue of low blood count over a year ago. The doctors here instead of making sure they found what the issue was, just said "I guess it just happens". Fast forward to now, my father spent a week in the hospital with internal bleeding that could have been found easily had the doctors here just ordered a simple procedure. Will be looking for a new primary care doctor who actually CARES. I suggest everyone else here do the same.
ER doctor was very dismissive and aggressive. I went back for a second time with updated information. Doctor literally yelled at me in front of my child. He didn’t ask me questions, just told me that he already reviewed my chart and there was nothing they could do… except that I had new information and worsening symptoms!!! I am STILL in pain!!!
Total mess of a clinic. What does a clinic ultimately come down to? HEALTHCARE. The doctors and higher ups managing this practice could care LESS about your health. All they want is not provide the right care in an appointment, but then schedule you to come in multiple times insurance charges! so they can rob you blind. IN ADDITION, no one replies to Mychart messages, and this includes physicians. Can't get an appointment for months, no one seems to know how to do their job, hold times are very long to get through to appointment lines, nurses don't call back, front office is clueless, management does absolute NOTHING but talk in circles, never resolve an issue. How is this a medical facility??
I had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Sean Pham at the. My appointment was booked 2 weeks in advance, I received emails, a phone call, and text messages to confirm this appointment prior to the actual appointment. I also completed the e-checkin 24 hours earlier on mychart. Once I arrived at the office I was checked in and paid my copay, only for the woman that checked me in to say I could not be seen because I booked online and the doctor was not accepting new patients and I could reschedule with another provider. I find this to be completely unacceptable and extremely inconvenient, I had to leave work early for this appointment, drive an hour to this location, waste my gas, and pay for my child to have extended childcare just to be told I could not be seen because of a scheduling error on your part. This is a horrible way to treat patients seeking medical care.
Nurses and front desk are friendly. I unfortunately left my keys in the lobby. After I finished my visit I realized I left my keys with them security was extremely rude and had the ugliest attitude about it. I would always come here whenever I had an emergency. Not sure if she had a bad day but I definitely did not deserve her act of behavior. She also yelled at the front desk people for telling me to go ask her about my keys in front of customers.
This is NOT includes hospitals Inova Primary Care - Springfield Worst place and worst staff. Whatever is your health, no one cares. The most important thing for them is to earn money. I called 2 days ago while I’m very very very sick because i been looking for a place to do covid test and when I found 2 places they asked me for dr referrals, I called and I explained what is going on and all what i need is a referral to do the test . The lady answered with a cold tone Nothing we can do the only available appointment will be in Jan 8th, that was on DEC 23rd I told her i don’t need an appointment and i cant come i have bad symptoms again she answered that i need an appointment after that I drove to anther state and i did the test, was positive and if i didn’t fight to do the test i will running around infected others. I can’t wait to feel better and change this family doctor by the way this is not the first time.
I think this practice is fine--not stellar, but fine if you don't have a complicated medical history. Dr. Pham is my PCP and he's OK. Recently I've had better luck getting a timely appointment with Nurse Practitioner Hamiyet--she seems very caring and patient, and I will just ask for her from now on. I have happily never found it challenging to get a prescription filled like others have reported.
The care that my doctor gives me is fine. I don't really have any complaints about that. However, you will be lucky to actually get an appointment with a doctor when you need it. It doesn't matter what it is I need an appointment for, I can never get in the door the same week. More often than not I end up going to Inova urgent care when I need someone to see me the same day. Case in point. I'm suffering from some sort of severe allergic reaction to bug bites. I went to urgent care on Saturday because the office was closed. That's ok though, I wasn't upset about that. But I did want my doctor to see me for a follow up appointment to assess how things were progressing and to go over the results of the culture the urgent care took. My suffering did not seem to matter because the earliest appointment they could find for any doctor in that office was more than 2 weeks away. It's extremely frustrating and upsetting how little they care for their patients. Although I like my doctor, my access to her is so piss poor I still could only muster a one star review for them.
After quarantining for 3 months and being SUPER careful I went to Inova Primary Care in Springfield to have blood work done in order to receive necessary prescription refills. I felt I had no choice. Everyone in the waiting room and office area were wearing masks. A nurse took my temperature at the door when I entered the waiting room. Then a gentleman and his wife entered the waiting room. He was wearing a mask but it was down around his neck not covering his mouth and nose. He also was coughing and had labored breathing. I complained to the nurse at the door. She said he had a "condition" and suggested I move to an inner waiting area so I did. After seeing the doctor I returned to the inner waiting area to have blood drawn at the lab and he and his wife had moved to the inner area! Still no mask covering his nose and mouth. I called the office today about my concerns since I found I did not sleep well and worried about the situation. The more I thought about it the more angry and disrespected I felt. I was contacted by the office manager and she offered an apology. She said that they had a team meeting discussing how to better manage a similar situation in the future.. She assured me that the gentleman did not have Covid-19 and was there for another condition. How did she know? Had they tested him? I walked up and down five flights of stairs with painful knees to avoid the elevator due to Covid-19 risks and wore my mask the whole time and used lots of hand sanitizer, only to be in a room with a man who refused to wear a mask while coughing and showing labored breathing in a waiting room of a doctor's office! I was told that this was a unique situation and that it would not happen again. I still feel upset about it. Why have all of the rules, which are also STATE rules now, requiring masks indoors if they are not being enforced? I feel at risk now after going to see my doctor and having blood drawn due to no fault of my own.
