I am a small business owner and needed a cheap simple camera to see if my employees are stealing from my business.  I am not able to afford a $1000 DVR system at this time.  I walked in last month to browse through the products.  I ended up purchasing the Mini DV on the spot.  Whenever I need to spy on my employees I hide this camera in their vicinity.  I usually just place it taped inside an empty Dunkin Doughnuts cup with a hole poked out for the viewfinder.  Within the last month I found the employee who was sneaking money out of the register.  I really love this device.
