The place is clean and I like the ambiance. The bathroom is on the 2nd floor but it was clean and had nice body size mirrors which is great for selfies. I ordered a gingerale and I’m assuming it came from a juice gun/machine because it was kind of flat. There’s a happy hour menu that ends at 7. From the happy hour menu, I ordered the duck wings and calamari. Both were tasty. There was a special for the surf and turf for $30 which was my entree. The lobster was a little mushy. The steak was tasty. They didn’t have steak sauce but it did come with a side sauce that was a good substitute. I also substituted my fries for whipped potatoes which was good. I also ordered a side of the general tso broccoli which was breaded and tossed in the general tso sauce. It did exceed my expectation and was breaded perfectly. I ordered the peach cobbler for dessert. It was basically peach filling with oatmeal toasted on top. I was highly disappointed that it was called a “cobbler”. The vanilla ice cream that came with it was good. The service was excellent! Waitress checked on us often and was quick to refill our drinks
I had booked a lunch reservation for restaurant week. Looked at the menu online and everything. Got to the restaurant and they didn't offer the lunch menu. Just brunch. It was ok though. Ordered the duck wings and waffle, and I was not disappointed. Very flavorful, the wings were crispy, and the waffle was golden on the outside and moist on the inside. Almost cake-like. The sauce on the wings mixed with the syrup on the waffle was delightful. My friends had the American Breakfast with a side of grits. And let's not forget their Aperol Spritz was just the thing to get the afternoon started.
Food was good, but many service issues such as entree showing up first, the salad second, and the bread third. Haphazard. The gentleman eating at the table next to mine left momentarily and the staff removed his dessert, drinks, Pellegrino bottle. He came back and a server apologized before handing him the bill.
Very understaffed for breakfast, 1 person serving and 1 person in the kitchen when I was there last week. When I eventually got my breakfast, I received one soggy piece of bread that seemed to have been dipped in an avocado soup, served with an egg. On the menu this was called “Avocado Toast”. An interesting take on the classic, but I would never recommend it to anyone and expect to leave hungry. Also, this restaurant doesn’t open until 8? Why not 7?!!
Duck wings appetizer has some spice to it dinner was steak, sweet potato fave, and asparagus. All BOMB. Babe ordered chicken, wasn’t a fan. I had his scalloped potatoes- diff than ur usual -amazing ! I really like how flavorful everything was. Master chef is Haitian so you know the food is going to have flavor. Waitress and bartender was great ! No side street parking available. Theres a garage. We did valet $30. Go here, I think it’s worth it !! The photo I’m posting is the duck wings !
