We take our American Bullies here for their OFA & PennHIP testing. I wouldn’t recommend any other clinic. We previously want to Pima North Animal Hospital and they injured my dog’s hips doing PennHIP. I took my other girl here to Squaw Peak and they did an amazing job. We were in and out in 30-40 mins with sedation, which is why it took longer for TWO dogs getting OFAs done. Their staff have always been very professional and accommodating. They are also not against bull breed dogs, although some of their customers are. Someone was complaining that our girl was in the same lobby as their dog, and instead of making us go in and grab her they personally brought her out to our car when they were done with her appointment. Their OFAs and PennHIP are very “budget friendly” i’ve seen many places charge way more for the same thing.
The rudest receptionist I have ever encountered. I have a newly adopted cat that I was trying to schedule an appointment for and she asked how much the cat weighs as if most people know that information off the cuff. She then proceeded to tell me they can’t schedule anything before knowing that and put me on hold and never returned to the phone. I used to take my pets here and now I remember why I stopped.
If I could give them a negative five I would My friend took her Dog Indie - the vet was short rude and vet did not discuss any options for treatment plans. $475 later and a week later her four legged passed away. They care more about money than healing
Really nice people here . The vet is great. I took my American Bully here to get OFA testing of her hips elbows and cardiac. The results are sent to OFA and the registry to show my dog is healthy as show and breeding stock. The vet has also been treating her allergies. The health of our dogs matters. And we want our dogs with caring people. I took her here instead of my regular vet for the OFA testing which is only done at practices that offer it. The ladies in reception, vet and assistants are all really nice here.
Our dog was confirmed pregnant with a singleton at another clinic. She was Around 63 days I started calling the vet that confirmed her pregnancy to see if we could come in to do another ultrasound to see if she was still pregnant or get information on what to do they weren't able to see us for another week. At her "65 days," I called over 20 vet clinics to see my dog and started panicking because no one could see us or tell us if it was dangerous for her to be pregnant this long. Squaw Peak was the only place that I called that 1 seemed to actually care about my dog and 2 fit us in that morning!! They let us know if we could come right away they would be able to do the xray and c-section that morning because she should not be pregnant any longer if she really was at day 65. She ended up no longer being pregnant; however, we are super thankful that they were able to see us right away and ease all our anxiety and stress from the last week of worrying. They are all so nice in the office and very fast. Got us in and out in 20 minutes. Their prices were also way cheaper than the vet we originally saw. X-rays at Squaw Peak were $180 compared to ultrasound at the other place was $140 and Xrays there were over $300. Even though we have to drive a bit we will now be bringing our dog here since they were the only vet we've seen in Arizona that cared about our dog.
This is a great place, took my Cane Corso here to have his ears cropped. They came out great, with only three postings. Wonderful staff great doctors there. Very helpful and knowledgeable.
They are so great with King 65 lbs norweigen elkhound. He is not a fan of the vet at all and they handle his antics so well. Another plus is they have super cute reminder cards.
Sophie my 9 week old puppy is the first dog I have owned in years. I was not impressed with the receptionist who made my first appointment. She was more interested in letting me know I needed to pay a $85 fee in advance to 'reserve' my dog's appointment - than the fact I was bringing a new puppy who would be a future 'patient.' When I brought in Sophie for her shot, I was escorted into a waiting room and Sophie was taken from me by an 'assistant'. I was not allowed to be with Sophie during her exam and shot! The vet brought her in after the exam and introduced herself as....Dr.XXX. It seemed important I refer to her as 'doctor'. Since I was not allowed to be in the examination room, I have no idea the way in which this 'doctor' related to Sophie. Needless to say, I will not be returning with Sophie. I live across the street from this clinic. After this experience, I have learned from neighbors this is not the place to take your pet.
