After years of bringing in jewelry for repairs because of their exceptional work, I finally hired the fabulous jewelers at St. Charles to make me an amazing custom ring! Plated jewelry changes color on me so I needed real silver and gold. I brought in a photo of a plated piece that I liked mixed metal tones and they made me a replica with real metals that will stand the test of time and look beautiful forever. Went here to get battery replacements for 5 of my husband's watches. On one watch which was on the cheaper side the second hands somehow fell off during the battery replacement. They didn't charge for this battery but couldn't get it fixed on their own. Another watch, which is very expensive and was a wedding day gift from me to him, they warped the back and couldn't get it back on. They said it was already warped when they got it, but I am not sure how that happens on its own. Apparently their "watch guy" is out of town and is going to try to fix it within a week or two. In my opinion they should have said they couldn't change the batteries in the first place if their "watch guy" wasn't there. They also neglected to call me and let me know all of this happened, the only way we figured it out was that my husband stopped in to see if they were finished on his way home from work, about 4 hours after I had dropped them off. Will not be going back.

We have had jewelery repaired here and have always been satisfied but when we decided to have a custom ring made Alma walked us through it step by step and was extremely patient and wonderful. We love the results and the customer service by everyone was stellar.

I love this neighborhood shop when I need repairs, purchases or even small scale custom work. Personable staff, attentive, good quality work. I love working with a business owner when I purchase something meaningful!
