Story

In 1987, our church originated as a mission from St. Nicholas
Antiochian Orthodox Christian Cathedral in Los Angeles. His Grace
Bishop Anton, on behalf of his Eminence Metropolitan PHILIP,
formed the mission, giving us our name, St. George. We celebrated
together the Divine Liturgy in various locations until we were
blessed with our permanent home. Through the efforts, prayers,
and support of our parishioners, we purchased our current church
property on September 5, 1997.
Consequently, our parish was blessed with the Very Reverend
Father George Manneh, who has been our parish priest since
1998. In May of 2004, our church altar was consecrated during
a special dedication ceremony celebrated by his Eminence Metropolitan JOSEPH.
As of July 1, 2017, Fr. Mansour Azar has been appointed as our new parish priest. His personal website can be found at http://abounamansour.org/

Mission

We believe in "The one true God who lives eternally in three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." We preach the Gospel to all as the Lord directed us to do. We strive to encourage everyone, of all ages and races, to visit with us and learn about our Orthodox Christian Faith.
