Beautiful and welcoming church with an interesting set up: lateral superior seating area and a long chapel that follows the church central aisle. Plenty of mass times makes a great option in downtown for visitors.

Stained glass is magnificent. Some of the statues are beautiful. Liturgies are mediocre at best.

Wonderful parish, especially if you need to go to Confession before Mass.

Beautiful old church....first mass was said here in 1855....gorgeous..peaceful....outstanding.

Fr.Rodney is So Cool I'm a lifelong Catholic but for awhile I lapsed.I am so glad to be back.I remember going to Mass there in the 60's with my Dad & then going to the Omaha Athletic Club which is long gone.Thank you all for having me

If you live, work or just happen to be downtown this is an excellent church to go to weekday Catholic Mass. Services are offered at 7 am, 12:05 pm and 5:15 pm every weekday, and confessions are heard a half hour before each mass. Services are conducted at a brisk yet spiritual pace, allowing people to attend before or after work, or during lunch hour. The church is very old and ornate. Truly a beautiful chapel. I love attending mass here. I've never been here for a weekend service so I don't know what they're like. I highly recommend the weekday services however.

Went to a Sunday Mass at 12:15 here and I have to say, besides it being a very nice, authentic feeling old church the priest is phenomenal. He got through a full mass that was packed in exactly 36 minutes. The best part was that it still didn't even feel rushed, he just kept things going while being precise and to the point in his homily. Next time I'm in downtown Omaha for the weekend I know where I'll be attending mass.

Lovely old church. Saturday evening masses are typically packed so come early to ensure that you get a seat. There is seating in the main church area when you come in, the side chapel, and then upstairs. As a side note, in the winter, it gets quite warm on the top level so don't bundle up too much. You also have to head downstairs for communion if you sit upstairs, except when it's very busy and they send a eucharistic minister upstairs. On Creighton game days there will be a few hundred extra people standing in the back and on the sides, so do come early. Still, the Sat and Sun evening masses I've been to average about 30-35 minutes long. People dress relatively casually. There is street parking and nearby lots that aren't used during the weekends.

Great church for daily mass, especially if you work downtown.
