Saint Patrick’s Cathedral is awesome! The chapel is beautiful! Friendly people. This church will definitely help lead you to our kindhearted and loving Savior Jesus Christ! Have a great day, and know God loves you!!!
Beautiful Cathedral! I attended the 9th Annual Charlotte Catholic Men's Conference and absolutely loved it! Such a Holy place. The Preist and speakers were amazing. Doug Barry Battle Ready really fired me up. Revelation 3:15-16 “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.
I attended mass this morning at this church. It was wonderful. They have adoration of the Eucharist prior to mass and confessions. Communion is taken in front of the alter kneeling by the railing. I have not experienced this type of mass since I was a child in the early 70’s and I loved it. If I lived here this would be my church. The interior of the church is spectacular.
We attended mass here on our way back from Florida to West Virginia. It was a beautiful church and a great mass. A priest offered confessions before mass and made sure everyone was able to go. They did prayer devotions and Eucharistic adoration before the mass started with incense. The priest had a great homily too. The best part was the reverence they held for the Eucharist. They used altar rails and a communion plate to catch any accidental crumbs. They also had beautiful singing and organ playing. We also saw a lot of activities for all ages of the parish advertised.
The St.Patrick's Cathedral is more beautiful than any of the reviews I read about it beforehand!!! Would totally recommend going; make sure you stop in at the parish book and gift store. I bought a prayer book, a few Christmas ornaments each year is a different stained glass window of the cathedral, and a rosary bracelet. The woman at the parish center front desk was so sweet. I'm so glad we decided to visit. The neighborhood is gorgeous too, as is the school it self, which looks like a castle!
Amazing reverence at this parish. You will feel like you have gone to Mass, unlike some other Catholic Churches where you get watered down sermons, a band for a choir, and stand for receiving Jesus. Not at this parish, you receive Jesus kneeling in adoration, very good sermons, a choir with sacred music with an amazing choir director playing a beautiful pipe organ. Did I mention how beautiful this church is.
Being new to the area I attended a Sunday mass for the first time and had very high hopes from what locals had told me about the church. It is such a beautiful church with a large turnout but I was disappointed when I could barely even hear the priest or the music that was played. The audience seemed barely engaged and no one really sang along. I expected the service to be much better especially with the large attendance they have.
I attended mass here for 4 years prior to moving out of state. The positives are: Beautiful church Authentic Catholic Values Ample space The negatives are: Parking nightmare Unfriendly/disengaged parishioners Lax attitude towards Sunday mass It wasn't until I left this parish that I realized it stagnated my spiritual growth. The entire time I attended, no one said anything to me and I sat by myself every Sunday for 4 years! When I left, I realized there were parishes that held a dignified and reverent mass, still managed to get dressed on Sunday, be friendly, and offer parish activities for the 20-40 year olds before they become part of the non-attending crowd.
Small but beautiful cathedral church.
I've attended the Sunday morning mass here on multiple occasions, and every time it is beautifully done. They obviously take the faith seriously and with warmth and joy. It's a traditional service but not stale and lifeless. Incredibly beautiful!
