I did the audio tour of the church graveyard. There were a lot of prominent Philadelphians buried there. The tour was interesting and informative
Popped in to check it out and the lady there gave us a 5 star tour! Showed us where the presidents sat and where the who-to-know hung out. Explained the physical structure and how they bounced sound around the room. Had an example coal heater and a wealth of history. She was delighted to share a story of her daughters wedding there. Gorgeous and so important. Love that its still in use.
Haven't been inside the church, but the graveyard is interesting & beautiful. There are several benches to sit at for a peaceful lunch or bookreading. However, lots of dogs are walked here, if that bothers you.
It was a beautiful Spring Day in January....in St. PETER'S CHURCHYARD today !!!
My daughter was married in a small private ceremony at this beautiful historic church. What a meaningful and wonderful experience we had!
The graveyard is simply beautiful, an oasis of green and quiet. There will be free concerts in the next couple of weeks.
Even though we've devolved to becoming part of the Ivy's and the lily's, we love the congregation and leadership at St. Peter's. The choir is great, too!
Clean very well organized flea market!
I'm thoroughly annoyed at the amount of dogs off leash in the cemetery, even though the rules clearly state that's not allowed.
Check out some interesting history here. Many people from colonial days buried here. Some headstones so old not ledgible only drawback.
