This company is horrible. My home was flooded in 2016. The insurance money was held in escrow by Standard M.. Even with the receipts, twice I had to fight to get reimbursed (had pictures, receipts marked as paid, lien releases). At one point they owed me over $40,000 and the second time was over $60,000. When I was unable to make my mortgage payments on time (because of the $ I had paid for repairs, but had not been reimbursed for), I explained that I was waiting to be reimbursed for my rebuilding expenses. What did they do? They destroyed my credit score by almost 300 points with late fees and non-payments..... My mortgage rep was understanding and wanted to help, but it was out over her head. When I finally finished my house, it took over two months for the final inspection to be set up. When i finally called my "recovery officer" for an explanation, I received a voicemail stating she retired with no forwarding information on who was taking over my claim. That would explain why my previous emails went unanswered for weeks prior to my phone call....What a company.... The damage to my credit score almost cost me a very good job too. Luckily, I was able to explain what happened to the company owner......

I know Katrina happened over a decade ago. but, I have a human duty to do this to save anyone's life from being a victim to this company's poor business practice. Like the old saying goes, when you deal with the devil you get burned. These devils have done just that to me and other hurricane Katrina victims with property. I had a deal after hurricane Katrina with them. To give me time to sell my badly hurricane damaged houses they gave me so many days to do so. Then turned around and told me that they was going to put my houses on auction right after myself and my real estate sales agent told them that we had a buyer who was just about to go through the act of sale process. These people are not to be trusted and are devils. I wished Countrywide mortgage didn't sell my mortgage to standard mortgage these people are evil... 👿🔥👿🔥👿

I loved my previous mortgage company, but the leadership at standard has assisted in addressing my concerns. There compassion has made this process easy for me.

I've had my loan through Standard Mortgage since 1992, including a refinance. They have never sold my loan, and I like having friendly local service. Friends with different out of state companies, share stories of frustration & no caring staff to take care of them. I highly recommend Standard Mortgage, and I refer them to family and friends.

My loan was transferred here unfortunately, customer service for this company has been absolutely terrible!!!!! Representatives are little to no help and very rude!!!!
