I have been a good renter here for 7 years this May. I’m clean, quiet, and a working professional. I work 60 hour weeks sometimes. And due to ‘market rate’ they once again, increased rent. But wait there’s more. After living here 7 years they have never charged a pet rent before. Now they want $25 per pet. I’m sorry but does it look like my cats have jobs lol? This is a nice place but it’s becoming unaffordable. This is distressing, but they really couldn’t care less. They just want their money.
I lived here for a year and it was the worst experience I've ever had. They tell you when you move in that it's really quiet, no dogs, working fire place. When I moved in there were 2 loud dogs on my floor. Neighbors were potheads. I was told not to leave fireplace on for more than 30 minutes otherwise black soot would fill my apartment. The Nigerian family below me had 7+ ppl living in a two bedroom who were not on lease and would all leave anytime the maintenance had to enter their apartment for quarterly checks and the children would scream and run allllll day shaking everything in my apartment. I started stomping when they were too loud. Then the adults and children started tapping on walls and yelling into vents and the management would say "nothing could be done because they are children". The dad would stomp under my bedroom on purpose at 4 am and run the washing machine until 3 am which is LOUD. I kept calling management and they would say they would call me back that day and never would. Three times they ghosted me. You hear the neighbors conversations clear as day as if they are in your apartment. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Management knows this place is not up to code. They don't care as long as they don't have to deal with anyone. That is why there is always new people working in office, because they keep quitting. The girl who was there when I signed my lease said Lisa didn't care about complaints and never responded to anyone and that's why she quit too. If you enjoy your peace and quiet do not move to Standing Bear. Believe all of the reviews.
The young ladies in the leasing office when we first moved in were very pleasant to deal with. These new girls who been in there recently are very snobby and rude, as if you’re bothering them when you call or make a request. I’m satisfied with the complex overall, bring back more pleasant workers in the office please. And emergency maintenance hates to be on call even though their job so I’m not sure what’s going on there
We have lived her about 3 years we love it. Anytime we have a maintenance issue they come same day or next day. Always changing air filter. They keep up the property well!
Love apartments very roomy and complex clean, love the pool and fitness center
I had a terrible experience today. I went there at 4.31pm today 27th July to look at an apartment. The leasing agent didn’t even walk out of her office to greet me. I started looking around and found her sitting in her office. When I asked for a tour she said we stop tours at 4.30 in a cold tone. There was no welcoming gesture or politeness in her behavior which gave me the feeling she wanted me out of there. However, I proceeded to question her about the multiple unanswered phone calls that I made yesterday to ask a few questions. I also mentioned that I left a couple of voice mails. To this her response was that she never received a voice mail and that she is not the only employee who works there in a extremely rude manner. I finally said that I wound not consider getting an apartment there only because of her behavior and walked out. Any reviews about the rude staff here has been proven true with this incident and you have lost a prospective resident!
I just moved in a week ago. You get more than what you pay for. We found a few little issues with our appartment and maintenance fixed them the following day. I am also one of the contractor's for this property and have always had good relations with management. Very friendly and easy to work with.
Was charged over $1300.00 for smoke damage. Was no fire, that's why we pay rental insurance. Refused to pay, was bogus charges so they sent it to collections. Word to the wise. In your exit review, please don't bad mouth the maintenance guy Ken, or he'll mess you up big time... God Bless
I lived at Standing Bear for a year while my home was being renovated. I loved it! Maintenance was awesome and the staff was always willing to help my stay be comfortable. I would rent again/recommend to anyone. Clean, no bugs, quiet... *****
Management are a bunch of liars and thieves. I paid what I was told to be a pet deposit and when i moved out they charged me a $225 fee for a pet urine kit when my cat never peed on the carpet. I lived with that cat you would think i would know if she peed on the carpet.
