They have 2 people on and a lineup out of the store; why the five stars? Sometimes we must wait for what we what - grateful to have the store and staff to provide Starbucks at 4:59AM. Not only do you have the line up but mobile orders too… they have the option of closing mobile orders in some locations, I suggest that when they’re operating short staffed, the ability to defer mobile ordering to a less busy time. ….Also a pilot line would be helpful - we wouldn’t want to stand in the way of a pilot’s basic request to caffeinate!
Limited food items were available At the time I was in line and waiting for my coffee I seen 4 and at time 5 staff ~ they were very slow with the exception of the food warmer lady l, she got food out quickly, but not with the drinks. Please know I am not extraditing when I say my 16 oz. Coffee took longer than 20 minutes to be provided to me. Staff are so very slow with what appeared to me as one speed -Their own! Know that if you’re looking for a quick cup of coffee the Starbucks inside security C gates at the Portland Oregon airport that the wait for coffee is much needed Thanks for reading I hope this helps you
Maybe I have the wrong site here in PDX airport based on the other reviews. I visited the C6 kiosk. But about a third of the staff was training with one seasoned employee splitting her time between them. Everyone was extremely friendly, the trainer was efficient at balancing everything and doing it all with kindness and a smile. It was moderately busy but service was still fast considering multiple new trainees.
This Starbucks is THE slowest I have ever been too. Not only do they have weird, short hours, but when they are actually open they are in absolutely no hurry to get anything done. And I'm not just complaining that they don't "have enough hustle", I'm talking about watching them crawl at a glacial pace through each and every single movement with obvious disdain. Most recently I placed an order before my flight started to board, I was third in line with about four others already waiting for their orders, and I waited so long that my flight finished boarding directly across from the stand, I watched the whole gate empty and they had not made my iced tea yet while others who ordered more complicated drinks after me had been given theirs. I'm no airport rookie so I was confident that I would have plenty of time given how they weren't slammed, but that was 20+ minutes of waiting for a simple drink. When I approached to ask how much longer it might be the person behind the counter didn't even bother to look up at me while they snapped it was in the queue. I had to leave without getting what I paid for and that was that. I want to give this stand and these workers the benefit of the doubt, times are tough and working in a customer facing position sucks especially in a busy place like PDX, but I'm at this airport a lot and have ordered from here many, many times and each time I am frustrated by the whole experience. It's always been slow, the baristas always act like they do not care, and this was the last straw for me.
Ordered from the C concourse Starbucks. For 20 minutes I watched 5 employees move at an incredibly slow speed. It took so long I couldn’t wait any longer in order to make my flight, and paid for coffee I didn’t get. Unless you’ve got a multi hour layover, I would avoid this Starbucks.
Vastly understaffed. I waited over 30 minutes for a simple one drink order and it was not because they forgot my order. I had to abandon it before it was made and couldn’t complain because there were so many people complaining. If I had not just left I would have missed my flight. Skip this location and wait for something else to open. They owe me a drink!
E Gate area. 25 mins for 3 food items and two drinks. One of my drinks and one of my food items never came out. There was another passenger who ended up leaving because his flight was leaving and told me to take his drink if I was still around. I ended up doing precisely that and left. They’re staffed with 5 people and can’t seem to be efficient during a non rush hour part of the day.
I am a black man. Let's start there. As im waiting in line I watched as the other customers were all treated with respect. Then as soon as it's my turn I stand face to face with a blonde semi thin barista. I didn't get the chance to see her name tag but I did notice she wears glasses and was the only employee without her hair up. Also wearing a septum piercing I believe. Anyways I was appalled by the blatant disrespect from this young woman. I sat my whole plane ride wondering how a disgusting personality is employed at a customer service job. Starbucks lost a customer for life because of this interaction. I even took my tip back.
As a person who has flown my entire life I know one thing about airport starbucks in every state in this country. They are ALWAYS PACKED with extremely long wait times. That is the NORM. Especially in concourses thatre mostly southwest or united. There are tons of people on those planes at PdX. Reviews for fast food especially starbucks at airports and everywhere are always very low stars because we encourage the belittlement of service workers. And patrons cannot stand that when they line up in a very long queue that their order does not just spontaneously appear in-front of them after ordering it. And its an airport starbucks so its crowded and all the patrons are crabby. If you choose to wait in a long line do not be surprised when a tiny kiosk with no space has a wait time. You dummies wait 180 mins for a 2 minute ride at disneyland and none of you are upset with that. I also do not get how there are three entire coffee kiosks in this concourse but every single person only comes to the one starbucks and wonders why theres a long wait. There are literally three coffee places!!!!!$ Go to another one if theres a line? It is literally the portland airport. There is dripcoffee literally at every other spot. Anyways make sure you ALWAYS tip your service workers! They are over worked and underpaid and you NEED them! Give them some respect ALWAYS! You’re lucky they show up to make your stupid dank tasting hot milkies for 8 hours or more a day! Many of them cannot even afford housing or basic necessities! Bless you all and I am so very sorry you have to put up with horrible people every day!
Very rude service - They got my drink wrong, and when I asked for it to be fixed which just involved pouring straight cold brew, they were very rude about it and then punished me by putting my order behind everyone. I'd strongly advise people to get their coffee elsewhere in the airport.Food: 1/5
