In March 2018, Starving Artist launched the start of its new performance-based phase, away from food to a focus on the stage: the music shows that have been our standard, other showcases and theatre.
Elliott Glick first opened the doors of the Starving Artist on City Island in May 1997, offering his handmade jewelry creations along with the fine art and craft of his artist friends, many City Islanders themselves. In February 2004, Glick changed the location and transformed his enterprise into a music venue, himself a musician and songwriter for more than 50 years. Thousands of performances later, “the Artist” is a place to “Come in, and live right.”
