Where's Harriet Tubman's $20 bill? You sure could use a facsimile of her bill in this store along with your other dollar bills. There's no American who better represents our Lady Liberty than Ms. Tubman. I'm sure it will be a bestseller. I'd buy it.
This gift shop was good. However, the black female and the light skinned male with the nappy afro at the checkout counter were nasty, rude and spoke in code about me having 8 items saying " this is going to take all day". When I heard this is started to leave all $160 worth of items at the counter and walk out. If you hate your job quit!!! You work in retail - be mad at that, not customers buying things to keep you employed..
The guy person of colour today August 17, 2022 @ 2:35 PM at the photo store was so rude & didn't know to treat customers at all! I ordered 3 photos but there was a deal for 4 photos for the price of 3 which he did not tell. He said "why should I say, if you want, go ask at the counter & change it to an exchange". Then in 2 minutes he said it's already on the system and the change cannot be done. He also said the girl whose name is 'Kayla B' at the counter not to do the exchange & threw the remaining of our photos into the garbage bin right infront of our eyes! These people doesn't know to treat tourists! So rude & arrogant indecent behaviour by this guy! I didn't expect such unacceptable behaviour by a City Staff!!! These people act as if they are providing free service to us! No matter how nice we treat them they are always being rude! How do such people get a job in the city? Makes me feel never come back to USA again as I feel most of them are treating us unfairly!
-PHOTO SCAM , be aware photo lady parcel in front of the statue and stands in front of your camera too close to your face so you dont take a photo without a mask - This is a public space, no one can tell you what to do ensure you get the experience 100%, feel free to scream this is your vacation dont let them tell you to move. - photo crew forces big groups to stay in cold Right in front of the statue to blocks other visitors to be able to see the statue so visitors cannot take their own photo. - Photography people charge $70 dollars for 6 photos and you have to stand in line at least 25 mins very crowded small space to be able to get your photos. - they make you hold dirty things or wear dirty crown or things like that while taking photo thats not sanitized. - please dont waste your money, You can print same quality photos on staples, walgreen or CVS in 5 mins for 10 dollars
The lady needs a bath! Other than that, beautiful scenic spot. Try to avoid evening time as the sunlight might be right behind the statue.
We stayed in this visitor/gift shop for a good while. I paused to pick up a good read here and there, kiddo got a few trinkets and souvenirs, wife goes straight to the hat/shirt deals they had goin on. In the end.. only one thing really got my eye…
Obviously it's a tourist-y thing to do, but my girlfriend's parents wanted to go, so we went. And it was fine. It's super narrow on the stairs, so if you're claustrophobic it may not be for you. I don't see all the hype about the torch, to be honest, but whatever. The staff was all super nice and friendly, I was pleasantly surprised.
I ordered some pictures of my family at Statue of Liberty. The photographer crew from this shop asked us to wait . When he showed us the pictures. I removed my sunglasses and kept aside on table and was looking at pictures. It was expensive one. Next moment it was gone . Someone from the photographer crew took it . When I asked the same person - he gave me another pair . I said this is not mine but similar one . He said I knew it was not yours. Someone else lost it before you. Then why were you giving me that goggles. If you knew . Someone from them took it . Very bad experience. I want to warn everyone reading this while you are there please keep your belongings close . And the photographs are really bad not good quality.
Nice stop after exploring the island and taking in the sights of a national landmark along with great views of surround cities. Lots of cool items and souvenirs. Some that you may find in any I<3NY store but a lot of it Liberty Island focused.
If you in New York, you should visit this place beautiful, but so many people. Food is expensive here, so don't be hungry if you go there
