Excellent excellent excellent! I own a 1988 Volkswagen cabriolet convertible… there isn’t a service that I’ve had done that didn’t far exceed my expectations! The gambit of work that I have had done ranges from water pump… fuel distribution issues… suspension issues… Electrical.There isn’t a part of my car that they haven’t gone over with a fine tooth comb. When I have an issue I call them, they give me an appointment time . As soon as they do a run through on my car… they give me a call on the dollar amount for parts and service. I’ve taken my car to other service companies… I won’t be going any place else ever again… Steve’s imports employees are honest, reliable and very proficient. Thank you again Steve’ Imports

I could tell immediately that this place had a good vibe by how friendly and upbeat they were on the phone making the initial appointment. When I had to cancel and reschedule, they were flexible and understanding. After the initial diagnosis, they helped me prioritize the work that needed to be done now vs. what could wait until my budget allowed. They gave me options and recommendations and answered all my questions. They were fair, competent, and pleasant to work with. They even went above and beyond, clearing an unrelated code on my computer and returning my car washed and cleaner than when I brought it in! Would 100% recommend them to a friend and will be back myself as needed.

They did my timing chains on my vr6, my car feels and drives 8 years younger than before. Price was less than any other quote I got from the shop I usually go too, they had it in and out in less than a week, engine bay is spotless, free car wash before they handed me the keys, I couldn’t be happier

We brought in my daughter's 2011 Subaru Legacy for diagnostics of a very rough idle. I was impressed by the professionalism and clear communication from John and the folks in the office through the entire process. The technicians are clearly competent and qualified. I own a Mini and live in Bend. The car ended up blowing a backup fuse in the junction box causing it not to start. Bought my car 3 hours to Steves Imports, and I will say this if you are on the fence about going here…just do it! They had to wait on the part and the day it came in John did everything to run around and get me my car ASAP! I like that it is a family owned and operated business that takes pride in taking care of their customers and providing great service at a good price. Whether it be for body work after an accident can’t even tell where I was hit! See photos, major mechanical work or a simple oil change and tune up, I feel confident that the work will be done right and done efficiently and that they are being honest with me along the way. We had our car towed to the Portland oregon location the beginning of January, due to our engine catching fire. I chose this shop over all others I had contacted as I felt confident in their expertise and commitment to my situation and dealing with our auto insurance company. They are currently even helping us and guiding us on how to move forward in pursuing our claim. Their promptness is outstanding! They know our urgency with this situation. We live in north idaho and our car is currently in limbo in Portland due to insurance reasons, but they are helping us big time and we can’t wait for them to be able to complete all the necessary repairs so we can get our car back.Service: Engine repair

Had fuel filter and other maintenance work performed. I am a big advocate of keeping my car very original, and was very satisfied to see that they reused the bracket from my original filter even though most shops just toss it because its not absolutely necessary. Great staff, service and fair pricing! Wish they had a versions of Steve's that worked on American vehicles! Definitely recommend for VW and other import models.

My experience with Steve's Imports has been great and they're gonna be stuck with me for a long time. I brought them a 1987 300zx that had been improperly garaged for 20 years and told them to make it run and make it street safe and street legal. Due to age of the car, it took a fair amount of money and an even fairer amount of time. But like I said, that's not on Steve's Imports, it's just the nature of the beast. They fix and replaced and chased down parts and modified parts and backed their work. A couple times I had issues that they had been working near and around. They couldn't be sure that they caused the issues but they took care of them anyway since there was a chance. It was a difficult process but they communicated well and worked hard with me to get my baby running. Besides their excellent work, they have exemplary customer service. They shoot it straight with you but are kind and seem genuinely happy to be helping. They're a positive and happy crew, which says a lot about the work culture there and makes a customer feel encouraged about choosing them. Like I said, they communicated well and never seemed annoyed when I called about little things or asked possibly stupid questions. My care still needs a lot more work and I'm happy to be building a relationship with this mechanic.Services: Auto brake replacement
