Steven D Kaplan DMD - Compassionate Endodontics

I was seen right away at Compassionate Endodontics through an emergency referral from my dentist, and could never have expected the high level of professional and attentive care I was given to resolve my root canal issues throughout the process. Dr. Kaplan and his entire staff were extremely professional, yet at the same time very “human”, making the experience such a positive one. I was amazed at the follow-up I received from the doctor himself throughout the course of treatment. I would highly recommend Compassionate Endodontics to anyone who seeks the best professional care and service from a true specialist.

Dr. Steven Kaplan is absolutely the BEST! I’m very sensitive with any kind of dental procedure. This was my first root canal. He was caring and listened to ALL my concerns. No pain whatsoever. He called me several times to check on me. He was such a comfort to me.

I had a surprisingly painless experience with my first root canal with doctor Kaplan. He did a great job, and as a dental hygienist, you could take my word for it . I listened to good music , was Totally comfortable no complaints The doctor followed up with several calls to make sure I was OK, and all was well . I had no discomfort. I was very happy with the staff who were polite, fun, and efficient.

Dr. Steve Kaplan not related has treated 3 generations of my family. My parents, me and my siblings, and my children. Dr. Kaplan is very compassionate, caring, and gentle. While a root canal is usually considered a scary procedure, it's not scary at all with Dr. Kaplan. I made the mistake of taking my daughter to a root canal specialist that was covered under our insurance plan, who botched the root canal badly. Dr. Kaplan was able to redo the root canal and save the tooth, something most other root canal specialists would not be able to do. We will definitely not make the mistake again of going to anyone other than Dr. Kaplan for a root canal.

Seriously - a painless root canal, both during and after. To the extent it's believable, I enjoyed it - I liked the Beatles as background. Dr Kaplan did fine work as far as I can tell. He was recommended by my regular dentist who I trust, and I'm glad he did. Nice people in the office. Followed up the next day on the first appointment. And because of peculiar circumstances, for my first appt he saw me on 10 a.m. SUNDAY before Labor Day. Wow. Definitely earned the five stars.

There are not enough stars to represent the level of professionalism from Dr. Kaplan and his team. By far the best endodontic treatment I have ever received. And believe me, I had my fair share of root canals done over the years. I cannot recommend enough Compassionate Endodontics.

I had a great experience with Dr. Kaplan. He treated me for a root canal in a painless two part procedure. He was very concerned about my comfort as he worked on my tooth and followed up with me the next day to make sure everything went well. I highly recommend Dr. Kaplan at Compassionate Endodontists.

I was referred by my dentist to Dr Kaplan for root canal surgery. I was apprehensive but the experience was excellent. Great staff and comfortable environment. Dr Kaplan was reassuring both as to his skills and the minimal discomfort I could expect. Beyond having to keep my mouth opened for awhile, there was virtually no discomfort. Mostly, I was happy to be under the care of an obviously seasoned and skilled practitioner. I enthusiastically recommend Dr Kaplan for root canal procedures.

I initially went to see Dr Steven Kaplan over 10 years ago, as, at the time, he was the ONLY NYC ENDODONTIST offering two-part calcium hydroxide root canal treatment. I was shocked, frankly, when he called me later that evening to see how I was doing, as I had not encountered this type of personal attention previously with other doctors. I have gone to him exclusively since for root canal and pulp cap treatment. He is highly experienced, extremely skilled, confident in his ability, and works incredibly well under pressure. He's also extremely patient and takes the time to explain the procedure. There have been a number of times when one of my then dentists has screwed up and Dr Kaplan has saved the tooth. He is the reason I have had no extractions to date. But what sets him even more apart from the typical dentist/doctor is his accessibility. If you are experiencing pain, he does whatever it takes to see you as soon as possible. After treatment, he follows up by phone or text. If you need to speak to him, he gets on the phone. He's experienced, skilled and cares about his patients. One of a kind.
