2 hours ago I stopped by stratosphere and picked up a new FA Kevin Bradley Pro Deck. The deck and service both were amazing. I appreciate them for the great service during the pandemic. I got free Jessup grip with my deck. I definitely will be going back. Their curbside service is a good idea. I got all that I wanted within 2 minutes or less. Before going in I advise you to go on their website or call their number so you have an idea what they will be selling
I arrived 30min after they posted about a dunk release and they told me they had none left. I thought “fine it is what it is” so I walk around the store and I can see Nike SB boxes in the back. I think ok maybe they are not dunks but literally a few days later they post a picture saying “sold the last one”. So basically they hold onto pairs and only sell to people who they want to.
Although I had a quick experience, I walked in with the aim of getting a skateboard that fit my needs and left with the goal fulfilled. As a new skater with snowboarding experience, I told them what I was looking for and they were able to get me set up really quickly. We built the board together and they talked me through the options. Also gave me some pointers. While I could have gone online to get something similar but not for any cheaper, I was glad to be able to connect with a local helpful business.
My daughter and I arrived for a dunk high release we heard about. We asked the guy with the glasses for one for each of us he said he only has 2 I told him we will take them both. Next another customer walked in AFTER us and asked for a pair. Long story short he refused to sell my daughter a pair and when i confronted him about it he git really nasty and said he wasn't gonna argue with me. Horrible customer service in front of my child. I will never forget this dude he knows who I'm talking to. A very nasty attitude how can this establishment even have somelike this working no regard or respect even for kids. I guess because we were black he felt like he didn't need to respect us
went into stratosphere wanting to buy my first skateboard, came out with this beauty! staff was pretty cool! so glad i went here :
Bought my daughter a skateboard here and the one she wanted wasn't available but they got my info and called me right away when it came in stock. They remembered me and the boards I looked at and were super helpful when I came back. Great place, highly recommend it for anyone looking for a new board or accessories.
I was so disappointed in the customer service my kids and I received in the shop today. I was so excited to take my youngest daughter here as she has really become a great novice skateboarder and will be attending a skateboard camp in July. We did not feel welcomed no one offered to help us or ask us questions or even speak to us for that matter except to ask me to ask my daughter to take her drink out. Shame on your for not taking the opportunity to educate a little skateboarding novice.
I buy all of my skateboarding gear at Stratosphere. Go in there at least knowing what you want or need and they are generally always able to accommodate or find something comparable. They host or sponsor the best events for the Atlanta skateboarding community. They also sponsor a team of some of the best skateboarders in Atlanta, host occasional parking lot demos, signings and events with pros visiting Atlanta. This is a core skateboard shop. If you’re kooking it, you just might get vibed out and deservedly so... I’ve always found the crew to be extremely helpful in the shop, in the streets or on the backyard ramp sessions. You try running a skateshop in L5P for over 25 years and tell me how it goes…. Then you can leave a negative review. ‘Til then, roll in, buy some stuff or get out!
I must agree with the majority of everyone else, something I typically try hard not to do. The store owners were rude as hell. Visited right after quarantine and couldn't go inside, had to shop through the employees outside the door. The guy tried at first to be friendly but after a few min his attitude quickly changed--he began rushing us and seemed frustrated even though we knew exactly what we wanted. They also claim to not take grip off boards bc it takes too much time. Lol in my experience working at a skate shop, taking off grip was part of customer service and something that was to be expected of me by customers. Its honestly not that difficult and while I do agree it takes time, the guy could've easily offered to do it while the other two guys who weren't doing s*** couldve helped the next customer in line.
Went in there once and Grant Taylor’s dad was extremely unhelpful and rude. Completely ignored me when I needed help with something. Usually I’m pretty passive and brush things off but his behavior made me walk out the shop.
