We've stayed at Stratton four or five times over the past few years (once in the summer, for a mountain top wedding, the rest in winter). This is a fantastic place, great for all levels of skiers, and also for non-skiers. We started going here because my wife doesn't ski, and this is the only place in southern Vermont with lodging and a village at the base lodge. So I can get up, go ski for as long as I like, and my wife can relax, walk the village or go for a drive and sightsee in the local area.
As for the skiing, you can't beat it. There are trails for all level of skiers, from beginner to expert, and these folks REALLY know how to take care of those trails. The grooming is fantastic and the runs are excellent. My daughter, a cautious intermediate level skier, enjoys the "greens" from the mountain summit, and I love the blacks and double blacks. No matter what level skier you are, you will find runs that please you, and they will be in perfect condition.
I have to add this - the resort staff are fanatical in their dedication to customer service. The Welcome Center folks are fantastic and will do whatever it takes to make sure you enjoy your stay.
I give Stratton the highest rating. Go there! You won't be sorry!

Beautiful mountain with a very organized structure. Its worth to pay the extra price for the service and the variety of food options and shops. The resort is opened until mid April and it's very well maintained. The trails are beautiful and well mapped and signed

Been taking my family here for 11yrs. Was always a great place and great mountain. Watched prices at Stratton continue to rise. Cost of skiing is getting out of reach for most families. Very disappointed in new ticket that allows you to go an hour earlier. So even though I paid $100+ for ticket, I don't have opportunity to ski fresh tracks, unless I pay more.

We had great snow conditions and the slopes were groomed well. Not very challenging slope options but long nice runs. Definitely longer runs than the broken up slopes at Killington. The fun park looked solid but we didn't go there. We're also lucky with almost no lift lines (although it was a Friday). For some reason they shut down the gondola during lunchtime citing high wind *cough*

Great place for skiing in the East. One of the few with it's own village at the resort. Trails are plentiful and we'll maintained. I would recommend anyone close by or planning a trip to Vermont to ski Stratton and enjoy all it has to offer.
