I love this place! If you focus on the instruction it is very rewarding for your body. She knows what she is doing! And you can show up with NOTHING besides the clothes on your body because they have these nice glass water bottles that are so convenient and needed in all the other yoga places I’ve been to. After a couple weeks of the lower back class I am hooked. Yoga is about what you put into it. The breathing always seems new at first but it is what brings you good health and healing for you brain and muscles. I’m looking forward to the dance classes.
We have gone to two kids gymnastics classes from this location. To be honest, the place makes you be concerned of the kids safety. Construction is going on and the renovation staff has little consideration of patrons with kids. Literally, we just finished changing the diaper and he immediately asked us to move so that he can luck up his materials from above. One, there should be a scaffolding to prevent those from falling ok people below. Two, he doesn’t have one more minute to wait? We were already leaving. It is a shame to experience this. The place is very promising.
Everyone’s really nice, the space is lovely, and it smells SO good in here!
I have been going here for almost two years. I love it. Even the environment is a refuge. I mostly do the hourglass class that works mostly the abs and butt, and it's amazing. A great workout, and it also makes me feel awesome when I'm done. I feel stronger, and have noticed changes in my body over time. There have been some stretches of time where I haven't been able to go, and I always look forward to my return. She will also teach you things over time to keep your body overall healthy and limber, like certain stretches and foam-rolling techniques. It is a whole-body approach. There are also different sessions and activities they will occasionally host there, like a one-time special group class on Sunday with an aromatherapist, which was fun. As Maya will tell you, and as others on Yelp have mentioned, it really does take some time to master the moves, and get your body used to being in different positions than you're used to. If you just go once or twice, and don't really listen, you might feel like you don't get much out of it. If you can afford it, I HIGHLY recommend paying for a one-on-one private hour-long session with Maya. I did two private sessions before I did the groups, and while I can't afford to do that weekly or monthly, it REALLY gave me an edge when doing the group classes. I'm not super coordinated, so I wanted to be able to get the most out of the group classes, knowing the basic techniques she uses. The perfect position to get the maximum workout is built on subtle adjustments that Maya will help you learn, but if you're like me, that could take a few tries to remember it. But it's been worth it. It's true that the better you get, the harder it becomes. Amazing teacher, and amazing workout.
Beautiful and serene studio that's an oasis in the city. It's a more holistic approach to strength building. Maya cares so much about each and every person who comes into class
Most workouts are boring, repetitive, and not very challenging and the floors get really dirty. The dance classes are fun but can be hard to follow. They provide you with all the equipment including water and towels which is nice. But I won't be back cause there wasn't really any classes I really liked
The instructor Molly was really nice, and was totally cool with me coming a few minutes late. But beyond that, there's nothing redeeming about this place. The class isn't challenging in any way whatsoever, and there are strange breathing movements we are asked to focus on. Not a workout at all.
It has a quiet and peaceful environment. Cell phone free and noise free
Lovely space with wonderful classes. Maya is professional and encouraging.
Great space clean and well organized
