I wish I could give this salon 0 stars as the stylist didn't even give me the opportunity to go here! I had a Groupon for a cut, style and full highlights, and made sure to make my appointment a month in advance. I was leaving on a trip on that Wednesday and scheduled to get my hair done on Tuesday so it would be fresh for my extended vacation.  The day before my appointment on that Monday I received an email saying my appointment had been changed to Thursday. When I asked her about it, she said she needed to move me to make room for one of her regular clients stating, "my regular clients take priority over Groupons. I don't make money on Groupon and most only come for the discount and I never see them again."  So now, I have to scramble and find a salon that will take me last minute due to her carelessness and lack of consideration. She totally killed any opportunity for gaining another potential client in me. This is absolutely no way to run a business!

I hate to say this but my hair cut and highlights were awful. I had to go to another salon to get both the cut and color fixed. Bleached my highlights in when I asked her not to use bleach. Huge chunky 1999 style highlights in white blonde on my dark brown hair. I asked for soft carmel and more of a subtle look.  Then I asked for more volume in my cut and soft layers. I got choppy awful uneven lawyers after she straighten my hair which is opposite of volume. Awful!! Then she had the never to charge me more for my highlights because she said color wasn’t included... WTF are highlights without color!?! The whole experience was just not great...oh after 3 hours I asked for water and no exaggeration it tasted like dirt...Was never offered I had I ask. Please save yourself time and money and avoid going to Liz.

I found Liz six years ago and haven’t gone anywhere else since. Throughout all the color trends ombre, balayage, rose gold - she’s been my constant. Her best color work is done by hand painting and I always get so many compliments on how natural the blending is. The price is fair and on the rare occasion my expectation wasn’t the end result, usually due to my own mistake in communication, she’s always made it right. Most of my appointments are shared with people I’ve seen in there for years so her customer base is solid.  I will say, after reading other reviews, if you purchase any beauty service at a high discount, ie Groupon, then your time will always be valued less than those paying full price. That’s just the way it is. Liz does great work and she’s worth the standard rate.

I had been growing my hair for a year. I finally accepted i cant pull off short hair. I look like willy wonka circa johnny depp or the lil dutch boy. I was excited to get the hair that took forever to grow shaped to flatter my face. Though i hate longer hair. I didnt give liz much instruction beside shape it up to flatter my face and keep the length. I am super low maintenance with my hair. Liz spent a long time cutting, blowing and flat ironing. She took lots of care to make it perfect. i didnt see the results until the end. I get nervous because its so easy to make a cut look great in the chair but if it doesnt come home well, then what's the point? Initially i was shocked because the length seemed to be gone. She said she didnt touch the length, just shaped it. It looked like the cuts i had gotten before that never translated when i got home. It looked beautiful and felt so light the way i want it. But i was concerned. I thought all that time growing was for nothing. Honestly, i cried after. I saw all the bad reviews here right before i went to her and thought maybe they were right. But i i went home and showered and this cut is gorgeous. Shaped beautifully with the minimal care i give it. I feel pretty. I feel feminine and confident. That is so rare for me. When you dont do much to your hair, the cut is everything. My experience with liz was great.

I am 7 months pregnant with my first child and was looking to get a cut to help me feel refreshed and pretty. I received the fasted haircut I think I ever have had in my life. I asked to have the hair length beneath my breast and it is all the way above my breast she didn’t cut a little off at a time to make sure I felt comfortable she just chopped it off. Then I checked and my haircut is extremely uneven, one of the worst I have ever gotten. I left trying not to cry and feeling completely uncomfortable with the way I looked. I don’t even want to ask for it to be fixed cause my hair is already way too short.

Liz is extremely knowledgeable and talented. I found her through a groupon deal and stayed with her since, years later. She never disappoints me and is consistent with the level of service she delivers. I wouldn't trust anyone else in the Charlotte area.

I have been going to Liz for almost a year now and she does great work.  She makes highlights look natural and did a really good haircut.
