Suburban Propane

The negative reviews don't lie. Every negative review on here I've experienced my self. I'm not the kind of person who rights reviews but the bad service has been such so consistent I thought I'd give one.

I would give this company zero stars if permitted. My boyfriend and I in the last week have taken 2 days off of work because Suburban set up appointments to come out to the house. The first to look at our furnace that had not worked in 5 days, for the second time, and the other appointment today to change the propane tank they stated had to be changed in order to continue delivering propane. Both times they never showed up or called. I sat around all day today waiting for them. When my boyfriend called them for the second time today at 4:30 they stated they would not be out because of the weather and changing out the tank could wait until Spring. Now I have to make that time up at work or not get paid when all they needed to do was call. We are going on almost 2 weeks with no new parts, no working furnace and no phone call from Suburban. They are very inconsiderate, unprofessional and lax when it comes to their customers. This is from a very dissatisfied customer.

Bad customer service. Says they deliver when they didn't, over priced from other companies by a dollar/gallon. Rude on the phone.

I would give a zero if possible. Worst propane company. I set up automatic delivery but of course they conveniently "forgot" to make note of it on my account which meant I ran out of propane in the early evening with two small children, both of whom are sick. Calling after hours to beg for a delivery was fun when they tried to scam me for an additional $175 to deliver that night despite them admitting that it was their error that the auto delivery was not set up. After trying to get this sorted out so my kids wouldn't freeze, I had to give up and go without heat for the night because this company can't get their heads out of their asses and, oh, I don't know, do their job? Mind you this is not the first screwup, and they are obviously trying to make their billing practices confusing to make it so the customer can't get what is promised to them. Absolutely unacceptable and I would avoid this place like the plague. I haven't even been a customer for 2 months and they have screwed me over twice. I am switching companies first thing tomorrow morning because I can't even imagine how many more times they will "forget" to set me up for auto delivery. Scam artists. I'd be better off starting a small fire in my living room with sticks than to work with these people. Absolutely horrible service and abhorrent business practices.
