I ordered 100 gallons. They didn't deliver the Thursday they were supposed to so they delived the next Thursday. They filled the tank with 275 gallons. It was 2 coices, go out and remove 175 gallons or give a good discount. They gave the discount. I have to watch my money because my home had a contract then defaulted. Now I have 2 mortgages and I am now retired. Suburban Propane did good.
My other propane company had me 7 days with no service, contacted Suburban propane and Michelle went beyond her duty to get me service, I have small kids and it was getting cold at night. They should up next day and got me propane service, Thanks we'll always remember.
They took the time out to help with my temporary heat they've been great to work with Lynette set me up and did a great job Thanks
Sorry, that I have to leave 1 star, but there was no option for 0 stars. I used to be on an automatic refill program, with a leased tank. It always worked out pretty good, with fair prices and friendly service. Well the company I set it up with, got bought by Suburban Propane. When I looked at the statement of our last refill, two month ago, I thought there must be a mistake with their billing. They charged me more than 5 times than the average price per gallon in Colorado. The answer what I got from their Customer Service Dept. was ridicules. That’s the price what they charge now for low volume customers. Even trying to negotiate the price a little bit was no option for them. Finally I bought my own tank from another company and they transferred the gas over for free. The set up and safety inspection was also with no charge. Now Suburban Propane is charging me another huge amount for the “Pick Up Fee” of their old tank. This Company is one of the biggest Rip-Off Company I have ever dealt with.
Like SO many others selecting 1 star because it’s required to post a review. We had a special situation as the account holder passed away and the tank was empty. We received great customer service to assist with a one time fill. It was strongly recommended to fill the tank until arrangements could be made to change the account as we were going to purchase the home. After that the customer service and complete lack of communication was awful! Exactly 2 months after paying over $1200 to fill the tank they came and took the tank along with all the propane which we had paid for with absolutely NO prior communication and nothing left at the home to advise they picked up the tank knowing that our intent was to purchase the home and move in. HOW do you just come and take a tank that is full of propane and NOT advise the customer? This was also done literally 2 days before we had a Celebration of Life for the original account holder at the home and had to change our food plans for 80-90 people.The Lakewood manager stated that 2 weeks to purchase and takeover the home was reasonable not 2 months. We too happily found a new propane company FOR HALF THE COST and requested an immediate refund which took more than a month and was not for the full amount we paid as they stated we used 25 gal of propane from May-July in a home that NO ONE is living in! Again, trying to communicate with the Lakewood manager was a complete waste of time!
So far so good , we will see when I've had your service longer than a few weeks.
Well, the folks at Suburban are really nice. So, I hate to complain. They do work with me but they sometimes abuse themselves their own issues. For example; I’m on will call status. Which means I dictate the deliveries. I called in and requested 100 gallons or no more than $400 cost fill. That has been on my record for over a year. They came and filled $750 worth of propane and over 100 gallons. The last time they were out they filled my tank and had to come back and drain all but $400 worth of propane back out. I mean at what point are they going to get it right??? I’ve been with them over 2 years.
I would like a call from Corporate office about Suburbans extremely poor practices ripping off good neighbors and Veterans of the military. They want to charge me 3.79 a gallon for propane when all other vendors are around 1.19. I get I lease the tank, for a cost of course, so I’m okay paying a little more. Three times the price is flat out robbery and fraud. I called and talked to a manager and got nowhere multiple times. I asked him to sell me the tank or lower the price and they refused. I cannot afford an additional 3k a year for propane that’s crazy and should be reported to the Air Force fraud claim office. They won’t sell me the tank and said I have to dig out the tank myself and set it at the end of the curb. Get this, there is a fee for picking up their own tank. Either lower the price somewhat comparable to other vendors or sell me the tank. I’ll sign whatever you draw up releasing the company from any responsibility of the tank. Please give me a number I can call at corporate office.
Worst customer service ever. I have cancelled my account of two years because of the customer service negligence i have experienced. First time i called i worked with Lynette who set me up on a new account which was painful because they got my email address wrong for paperwork several times which dragged things out for a month. as a result my tank went empty. After that first time my tank went empty i set up, with Lynette, the service where they visit periodically to check my tank level. Well today i discovered my tank is empty. When i called today i again spoke with Lynette who told me is would cost an additional $190 to get it filled before next week. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! never again. Taking my business elsewhere.
Same problems others have listed, prices double what others were charging . When we asked that they pick up their tank they left it for several months and charged us for the privilege. The spring before we discontinued their service our budget billing went from $190 per month to $90 then in the fall prices doubled and we had not enough credit for even one fill up. No reason for lowering that payment. We had been a budget billing customerfor 18 years, to prevent that issue. We had been customers since Suburban bought out Rocky Mtn Propane. Don't call them, if you buy a house with their tank in the yard, find another company. You don't have to be abused
