UPDATE: I HAVE ALREADY SPOKEN TO MULTIPLE PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD CLOTHING RUINED. We didnt deserve this but we do deserve to be compensated for their carelessness with our possessions. Reach out for class action information, we are getting our money back from this fraud “business owner.” What this woman is doing is wrong and someone needs to stand up to her. THEY WILL RUIN YOUR CLOTHES. I hope at least one person reads this and avoids what I went through. I picked this place because I always try to support black business but the woman who runs this place is DISGUSTING and doesn’t give a damn if SHE RUINS THINGS THAT OTHER BLACK WOMEN me!! WORKED HARD TO PURCHASE. I’ll be taking her to small claims court. They ruined a $350 dog bed/carpet. When I called to ask what happened I was understandably upset and was met with nonchalance and then had the entire issue blamed on us. We were told we would receive a call back. When I called 3 days later after no response, my husbands number was blocked so I tried on my phone. When I finally got through, the woman replied “oh no” and HUNG UP ON ME. It’s just disgusting behavior for a business owner who ruined a customers possession. There was no offer of compensation, NOT EVEN A REFUND FOR THE LAUNDRY. They are CARELESS with your items and when they ruin your possessions there is nothing you can do. I will be contacting other reviewers with the same issue. If you see this, please reach out as I have legal representation and am happy to assist because this business is preying on people who did nothing wrong but trust them with their possessions.
another edit: apparently the owner is also a gaslighter. you bring up an issue and then she gaslights yu and says it never happened. lady!!! i worked there!!! so i know what im talking about. quick edit : the owner responding back to reviews very snooty, just shows the type of person she is. working here was great in the aspects of the customers and how I spent my downtime, however, if Mrs. Clark is still running this business, it's not good. I say this because she would take money out of the immigrants checks and spoke very badly to them. when I was there in 2021, the business wasn't doing great. I wish this business the best of luck!
Just used them and don't regret it! Very kind and polite and even emailed me and called me when laundry was done. Even was kind enough to put money I had left behind unknowingly in one of my pockets in an envelope with my clothes. Thank you Sudsy!
The deliver man was incredibly incredibly rude hating his job. Broke my laundry basket and ignored me and walked away. Highly unprofessional and awful experience. Edit- HA !! and liars!!! Uploaded a photo of my broken laundry bag -- sorry bait him?? You guys are a joke! Spoke to them on the phone and continuously hung up on me- appalling behavior, a joke! Someone also said they would buy me a new basket since he broke it and they hung up again. He also was extremely extremely rude and unresponsive. AWFUL BUSINESS- DO not support. Fully just LIARS
I've been inside, but never used it. Was waiting for a friend to finish his business with clothes so we could go out. Had no problem with anything there. Regular laundromat. However, what is incredibly appalling are the responses of the "owner." The response the owner gave to people like Ama and Erin is disgusting. Absolutely repulsive. It's as if a child was using their account. It's one thing to deny something, but something completely different to INSULT the customers. You have no right to speak to paying customers and disrespect them for any reason. Who are you to invalidate their experiences with your business? Take criticism, and stop denying these things. Maybe once you fix your attitude, your reviews won't be mostly 1 stars. This is coming from someone that also owns a business, and I understand the hardships and stress of owning one, but never ever will I invalidate someone's experiences, whether they be positive or negative. Pick up your act.
HORRIBLE! This place is a s*hole. After going there for a few years because of its convenient location, I decided that I had enough of their horrible customer service. My dry cleaning would often come back in the same state that when I dropped it off. The place would randomly be close during their so-called business hours. The owner, when she was there, would insistingly ask me if I was going to pay now when I was dropping my dry cleaning!!! Mind you I spent hundreds of dollars in this place every month, and never left my dry cleaning more than a week there. The last straw was when 3 of my husband’s brooks brothers shirts came back with black marks which were not there when I dropped them off... I asked them three times to redo the shirts. They still came back with the stains. I asked one of the employees, few times, to have the owner call me to discuss the issues. After over 2 weeks of waiting for her call, I decided to pick up my now-stained and unwearable shirts and never spend another cent in this ghetto business.
I have been utilizing this service for over four years and appreciate their attention to detail and prompt service. Should you not remember your clothes, a friendly e mail reminder for invoices and ready to pick up status arrives. My experience has been that they under-promise and over-perform concerning completion of the laundry. Make your life easier, use Sudsy Water!
