The lady at the front was very nice and informed the kids of what they could and couldn't do. She assisted in fitting their shoes and was very kind. Great place to go climbing for the whole family!
Never fails to exceed my climbing needs. I am an able climber not necessarily competitive....although my membership has me wanting to get good with my bf. Team lead climbing looks like a great way to improve already great communication between us. Great exercise either way. Friendly personal space from guests make it a comfortable visit every time. Love this place more than Oklahoma too!
Love the small community feel of this gym! It's a great place for College and Youth to go and climb and enjoy a good few hours! The staff are extra friendly and very helpful. Great for new climbers and experienced climbers like myself.
Amazing climbing gym, just got back into climbing a couple months ago and this has an emphasis on bouldering, with enough variety of routes to keep anyone from a child to a veteran climber entertained and challenged, plenty of mix of flat wall and overhang of varying steepness, as well as top rope and lead climbing if that's more your flavor, best climbing gym I've been to :
If you’re looking for a terrible time; don’t come here. Friendly staff, people, and routes that are a variety of difficulties makes Summit in Norman a great place to pick up a new hobby and some new friends along the way!
Amazing first experience climbing! Came with a friend who has a membership, went through orientation with the front staff and got right into it. Every one was friendly and helped when I had to try on like 4 different pairs of shoes until I finally got comfortable. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all here, will definitely be coming back :
Took my buddy bouldering here when we were in town for the day, nice place, the bouldering grades are very soft so just keep that in mind. Not that it really matters in the first place, but if you've been to other gyms you might be surprised by the level you can climb at here. Still, the employees were friendly and helpful, I was a big fan of the training stuff they had around and the slack line was cool too. Good mix of climbing and bouldering.
Happy with this place. Friendly and helpful staff. They change over a wall on Thursday/ Friday so be aware if you are climbing in Thursday nights you may not have access to 100% of the walls, BUT they only work on small sections at a time which is nice compared to whole other gyms who do bigger sections. Good routes and a good variety of levels esp v3 and up. Their top roping isn’t as hefty of a selection, but in general it is pretty fun good! Check the website for annual competitions.
I love this place! Well set bouldering routes for all skill levels, good sport climbs and several auto-belays. The routes are all changed frequently, so it doesn't get boring. The staff is friendly and very experienced. Climate control is really nice in the heat of the summer and cold of winter. The yoga program is really fun. The yoga instructors do an excellent job of teaching several styles while catering to the skill level of the participants. They also have a childcare program on Mon-Thurs between 5:00-7:30 for climbers with young children. I think my favorite part of this gym is how open and friendly most of the climbers are. There is another gym in town, but this is the place to be.
I called before hand to make sure what I needed for my first time climbing and on the phone they were super nice and helpful. They were also very helpful in person. Super smart people and the gym has a great atmosphere. They made me feel at ease as I was scared I would look like a fool climbing for my first time, but everyone is really casual and inviting! This is the best place to climb and be comfortable.
