A true hole in the wall, very cute and clean, pleasant staff, and not too long of a wait. The concept is great, you can tell the ingredients are of good quality, and the sandwiches are 12 foot long and well filled, however, the taste wasn’t there for me and I don’t see myself going back. We ordered three, the Shiraz, the Berlin, and the Istanbul, and unfortunately none hit home. The Shiraz, the tongue sandwich, was served with mustard - which I didn’t think it was a good pairing - and surprisingly had the top skin still on! Overall a great concept and a good experience if you have not been there!
This hidden gem of a sandwich shop is tucked away on a quiet street, has a casual and eclectic vibe, and serves up a wide variety of tasty sandwiches made from fresh local ingredients. I tried the Soul sandwich and was amazing. I greatly enjoyed the combination of their bulgogi, kimchi, and slaw on a nice sized fresh baguettes. I’ll definitely be back to try others!
Very unique offerings. Variety of choices to satisfy every taste. Fresh ingredients, fresh bread, amd tasty as it can be. A must visit!!!
Easily one of the best sandwich shops in D.C. It’s a shame there aren’t more of these cause I think the simplicity of the place is severely underrated. This location from what I saw is essentially just a register and a kitchen, for a sandwich shop, what else do you really need? The selection and variety of the sandwich options was super inclusive. I ordered the Buenos Aires which was a steak sandwich with chimichurri sauce. Not only was the sandwich large but it was delicious. The bread was fantastic, the steak was tender and flavorful, and the sauce really just tied it all together. Magical experience that distracted me from my workday. I would love to see more of these spots instead of potbelly/subway. We are lucky to have something like this DC.
Small inside just for counter service from what I can tell. Huge board of sandwiches inspired by and named after locations. Got the Memphis. Great sandwich STUFFED with meat cheese and toppings. Pesca/vegetarian options are here but sparse, and NOT the stars of the show.Takeout: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
A delicious sandwich shop just off 9th street with alluring smells that will cause your mouth to water. The menu is vast. The bread for the sandwiches is soft and chewy. There are no indoor dining options so prepare accordingly. Most folks will eat on a bench outside. Good place to get a bite before heading back to the office or your home office.
Wowww , just wowww really high quality. I am persian and can not make herb suffle Isfahan sandwich as good as they did! I tried three of the sandwiches and all were perfect. A little bit far from me but that does not stop me to eat there again!Recommended dishesIstanbul, Buenos Aires
The location is in an alley and inside is very small. It actually works well. The sandwich I've tried so far was the Seoul. Honestly? I wanted more spice. Don't get me wrong, it was flavorful, but it lacked the kick I was looking for in the description. I'll be back though, as the taste of that and the description of the other sandwiches makes me want to try several. That and the bread they used was very good and very fresh. That's incredibly helpful
I can't say enough good things about this place. I got the Beirut sandwich which had brined vegetable. My only desire would be some some jalapeno to add a little kick. My wife ordered the Seoul and substituted with spicy slaw; it was one of the best beef sandwiches I ever had. Almost like bohn mi.
This is a hidden nice and cozy sandwich shop. The sandwiches here are delicious! I had the Seoul, one of their best sellers. The bread is not hard to chew or stale. Meat is tasty. There are more options than the menu, for example breakfast sandwiches. Basically you can go there every day without eating the same food.
