Sunflower Wellness Retreat

When I came to Sunflower nearly 1 yr. ago, I had no hope that I could live a life w/o drinking. The staff taught me about my disease. They taught me I could live w/o alcohol. What an amazing journey my life has taken in that year since I was there. I still go regularly with my AA group. To remember, see the great staff, and to tell my story to others there now. Sunflower didn't "save" my life, they taught me I had a life worth saving through their program, the love & respect of the staff, and leading me to my AA home group, they gave me all the tools I needed. The rest was up to me. I honor them each day, by living a sober life!

The small group size of the center is significant in its ability to really personalize the treatment individually for the people present with your treatment. Some groups do need to be slightly more interactive between the counselor leader and the clients. The strength of the program really is in the ability of the clients to determine what they want to get out of treatment, and that the connections you form with your peers are instrumental in the depth of treatment you get. As much as people hope that the staff at a facility can direct the treatment, treatment relies on the client's openness and willingness to change, and the staff members are there to direct and enhance that, and they do a wonderful job.

This place can really do a person a world of good. As long as you go in with the desire to change the things about yourself that you want to work on, and actually put in the work, Sunflower Wellness is a facility wherein you can achieve true change. Their caring and well trained staff are an excellent support system for you to utilize while building the skills of becoming a self-sufficient person that is free from the bonds of addictive behaviors of all kinds. If you have any negative behaviors or habits that are ruining your life Sunflower Wellness is definitely worth looking into.

I was lucky enough to have been able to come to Sunflower Wellness. This is a smaller rehab center, which helps keep things more intimate and self-directed in treating alcohol and drug addiction. From the minute I walked in the staff and clients were welcoming. I was given the support I needed to be able to work on myself, through a highly structured schedule. The counselors, nurse and staff were very caring, attentive and truly there to help me in my pathway to recovery. They provided me with a wealth of knowledge on ways to stay sober and taught me healthy ways of responding to challenges. I learned how to gain peace, no matter what the situation is. Not to mention, the cook is wonderful!!!

I came to Sunflower Wellness broken and looking for help. I never thought rehabs would actually work for me. I came in thinking that I was just going to snooze through everything and come out feeling normal. Little did I know that this place would turn into a home. The counselors and staff truly care about each and every one of its clients. They teach you how to cope with previous life tragedies and how to handle any situation in the real world. I love this place so much and recommend it to anyone that wants a sober life. Sunflower saved my life.
