Moved in the summer of 2021. Was undergoing new management, could tell the management was actually trying and they changed a lot over the time. They remodeled apartments, added more security, added a dog park. So I am overall pleased with my time at these apartments.
Lived at Sunridge Village for just over 2 yrs. New management took over about 8 months after we moved in. Positive changes and updates were made. New managers cared and listened and maintenance crew was always on top of anything needing fixed, repaired or replaced. Only complaint was cooling the summers were brutal and we really needed to have refrigeration so major reason we moved.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. If you’re thinking of moving in here please read this. The new management is horrible and the building is falling apart and gross. If you have any concerns they just laugh at you when you try to talk to them. The laundry room is infested with roaches and has trash everywhere. The washer and dryer also will destroy your clothing. After we talked to them about these concerns they told us that one we didn’t tell them about it, while we were in the process of telling them. They then told us we just need to reach out the the washer and dryer company ourselves. They’re in the middle of construction and will not put out any notices. So there’s days where your front door will be taped shut or the stairs down and completely taken apart so we’ve been stuck in our apartment. All of this happened with no notice. After trying to discuss these concerns with management and only getting laughed at or told we were wrong I asked if I could get the number for the property management company and was again laughed at told they wouldn’t care and if I want to I can find a phone number online. They also kept 400 of our deposit even though we left the apartment in a better condition than it was when we moved in.
Wow this is a nice appartment. Quiet nobody bothers me. Management is great Laura is great she answers all my questions. I see myself living here along time. This is a great experience.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. New management is awful. Our water is shut off regularly without any notice, sometimes lasting all day. They don’t even answer their phones. Complex is poorly maintained. 3/4 of laundry room is out of order at any given time and they have the audacity to regularly increase rent for the lowest possible quality of living. Do not give them your money
The rating for this apartment complex is definitely lower than it should be. I've lived here for a couple years and Sun Ridge is not bad! Since I've moved in, the roofs have been replaced, as have the windows and a/c units. The parking lot has been re-tarred and the landscape redone. I rarely hear my neighbors through the walls. Anytime something breaks, which has been rare for me, it gets fixed in a timely manner. There are two pools that are nice and well kept. The laundry machines are work well. I've honestly never had any issues with management, nor maintenance. The residents are quiet and respectful for the most part there are still a few who must think picking up after their pet is beneath them. All in all, I'd recommend this apartment complex. I've lived all over this town and there are way worse places to live.
1. Trash all over the complex. No one cares to clean it.. 2. We already complained about the plugs several times and was never been fix. Our appliances keeps turning on and off! 3. Not safe. All the things we have in the car was stolen twice! We reported it and the management didn’t do anything. No cctv around the complex! 4. Water is dirty 5. We need to go to the post office to get our mail for 2 months because someone is stealing the packages
I lived there for a year and moved out because I left the area. Many of the bad reviews seem to be in response to being inconvenienced by the exterior renovation done on the property. My apartment was only affected for two days, and I was only inconvenienced for a couple of hours. Not bad for a drastic uptick in the quality of my home. Inside, the apartments are nice, not fancy. they are what you would expect in this price range. Management and maintenance staff was always courteous to me. I wish more property owners in the area would spend the effort to remodel their properties as they have.
I've been here since 2014 and I just signed a lease for another year. The location is great for walking to Pet Smart, Sprouts, Walgreens, Hobby Lobby, Staples and even Best Buy, which I tend to call Best Buy Elsewhere. If you're somewhat more fit than I, walking to Walmart isn't even out of the question. It is also safe to walk in the area, even after dark. The walls are thick enough that you don't hear your neighbors, unless they've got the music loud enough to make the building vibrate. And that is rare and gets nipped in the bud. Garbage is picked up twice a week, so unless someone is moving out and throwing away everything they own, there is always room in the dumpsters. We got all new swamp coolers in 2015 and new windows the next year. Heating and air are separate systems, so there is no problem turning on the vent if you need to during the winter. Maintenance tends to respond in a timely manner and things do get fixed. I have never had a problem with roaches or spiders. I hate roaches and spiders make me scream like a girl. The grounds are maintained well. So overall, it's quiet, safe, and peaceful. I enjoy living here.
I am a travel RN and definitely would not recommend this place. I signed a corporate/ short term lease with them. Knowing I would be temporary and would only be staying unless I notified them I was being extended, I had to notify management today that I had not received a refund of my security deposit. This was August 2nd. I moved out May 31st. I finally did receive it via USPS and a replacement check. Original post mark date July 2nd. Past the 30 days. Lets see how honest their property management is as they have already tried to deduct a no notice fee when they had notice and knew exactly when I was leaving. Update: The property management did refund no notice fee. Know the NM statutes regarding security deposits. Do not let landlords such as these take advantage!!!
