The classes here are awesome. The chefs are all very nice, each class comes with a 10% off coupon and if you end up liking your class and want to go to another the same day, it's $20 off. Class prices range from $20-100+.

This is my favorite and only place I will ever shop for kitchen appliances and cookware! They have a great selection of knives and premium pots and pans with brands like all-clad! I love coming here during demos from companies like kitchen aid other companies! Highly recommend!

I came across Sur La Table the other week and I think they need to change their name to Sur La LAZY! Let me explain why… When you think of a Culinary Store/Cooking School the first thing that comes to my mind would be awesome Equipment, Instruction, Guidance, Interaction, Skill Level, and a Real Meal. This was not the case on April 14, 2018. After coming across this class I gathered my friends together. Two from the state of Maryland and two that flew in from Minnesota. We were very excited to experience a cooking class as a group of friends. We had scheduled our class, $85 per person, ‘Night Out Rosé’, quickly we got excited at the thought of Alcohol being infused into our food and being able to enjoy a glass while cooking. We arrived at the class, got our aprons on, and patiently waited for all the other students to arrive. When everyone funneled in the Chef came in and welcomed the class. Chef informed us that he was a full-time Chef, Safety/ Hygiene Inspector, and Culinary Teacher. We were quite impressed with his background. He explained the had 20 personalities and how he could be French, English, American, New Yorker, and many more (what he didn’t know is that one of our friends in a British man formerly from England). He began speaking in different accents to be funny until he realized our friend actually has an English accent! The one thing that we thought was a little weird to begin with was that he did not make any eye contact. When he started to explain, what was going to happen that day he stated that one recipe the Tiramisu we would not actually be making. So, he started making it and we just had to watch. He did not wash his hands before starting. We were a little grossed out by this. As we are watching him make the first dish he began his sales pitch. This was the most annoying thing we had ever experienced. Everything he would touch he would explain how we could buy it and where we could find it in the store. After he finished the Desert he put it in the fridge and he then said we would start the next meal. We were definitely wondering when we would get to actually touch the food and interact. We began to grow more and more annoyed. Time was going by so quickly and we hadn’t touched any food yet. What the heck was going on?? He spent a good portion of 30 minutes explaining each knife that we had… that everyone has a different knife so that we could find one that we like and go buy it. I began to get irate at this point and definitely made some side comments that were not the best, but I didn’t care because I was getting pissed off. FINALLY, we get to start our dinner. Chef explains how to cut the shallots and proceeds to show us. He started taking food from our dishes to show us how to cut them. What was annoying about this is that we thought we were going to be cutting our own food. Why didn’t the chef have his own ingredients? He cut about 2 of our radishes, 2 shallots, Parsley, and potatoes. So, by the time we got to cut our vegetables we didn’t have much left to cut since he had already done this for us. Not much of a cooking class if all I do is watch. After another 15 minutes shopping break, we gathered again to begin learning how to score the duck. He grabs the duck but quickly stopped and proceeded to tell us that his ECZEMA was flaring up and he needed a glove…. WHATT THE ACTUAL HELL!!! You just made our desert and cut our vegetables with your hands and now you tell me you have a skin condition?? NO!! That is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard of in my life. My friends and I all looked at each other in disbelief. We should have just walked out that exact moment, but we stayed. When we got to actually cook and by cook, I mean cut 1 Vegetable and stir a pan he kept putting us on breaks (to go buy things) and the food was getting cold. This was extremely frustrating. The portions were way smaller than we expected (portion for 1 and our group was 4). For the amount of money, we spent as a group, $340 was WAY too much. I WILL NEVER RETURN!!!!

The cooking class left a lot to be desired. There was very little hands on work. Chef Dean did about 90% of the cooking. He started by doing the entire tiramisu himself. We all got to chop up a couple vegetables. He cut everyone's duck breast. The class was more of a demonstration than a hands on experience to learn about cooking.

It's an interesting store. I haven't taken the cooking lessons, but they look good.
