Come eat here!!! Don't skip it... So I've had Indian food before and it was fine but this was sexy lol.. best way of describing. It was beyond delicious.. the food incredible, the staff was very attentive. They asked if you needed explaining and explained each option of rice and naan. Never felt rushed. The restaurant is clean and lighting is perfect. Food was delivered in good timely manner and looked very appetizing. I wish every restaurant followed this model. Great parking for the time being. Don't hesitate just try it... Parking: Parking is good now. The neighboring business doesn't exist

Excellent food and restaurant! Wow! The only Indian restaurant in town that is polished! They have been always very cleans and the ambience is very cozy. The owner is professional and takes care of his business very well. The food is divine! Many people don’t know this, but, the chef has been a Michelin star rated chef and the wall on the right with the photos on the way to the restroom has the Michelin star award framed if you’re interested in seeing!! I was happy to see the wall that shows all the people Chef has served over the years including celebrity stars from Hollywood! I loved the one with Tina Turner’s autograph! Houston is lucky to have this restaurant! Vegetarian options: Yes, there are great options! Parking: There is parking on the north side of the restaurant that’s available for the restaurant customers.

I loved the place and the scenery, from the time I walked in and walked out. The Owner and server was very courteous! The mood of the restaurant was set just perfect. When I got my food I was filled with JOY it was delicious absolutely amazing. The cook is BLESSED and I felt happy when I ate and left happy I was pleased. Thank you for the beautiful service and wonderful food!! Phenomenal cook.

We liked every single dish we tried. I have been back multiple times. They are typical Indian yet unique in flavor quality. Very creative chef. Sorry for the people who don't like the children policy. I personally hate eating with other people's kids. So, thank you.

Poor service, poor choice of food, rude!!! Cannot share food if you’re there as family. So if I want to enjoy three different dishes with family of four, I would HAVE to order 12 dishes!!! Ridiculous policy. This was specifically pointed out to use before we ordered anything. Oh, one more thing. The atmosphere is hilarious, they need to come to India to find out what fine dining ambience looks like. This was a grocery store turned into what would look like something fancy with cheap blue lighting and some wooden furniture.

Really disappointing meal and experience. No alterations allowed to meals hate peas and they served it in the masala meal and added to the rice after I asked to leave the peas off. Balance in sauce is off and garlic naan was burnt. The owner made an effort to speak to everyone in the restaurant besides us.

My favorite Indian Restaurant! I think they have an award winning dish if I’m not mistaken. Food is always fresh and the owner takes a lot of pride in his work. Highly recommend.

We got the chicken tikka masala and chicken vindaloo with two orders of rice and an order of naan. It cost $50 before a tip… pretty expensive for simple dishes, but whatever, moving on. The worst part about this was the naan was the saddest naan i’ve eaten. Granted, i did drive home 10 minutes before eating it, but it was thin, chewy, and there was only one piece… seriously, just one piece of naan in an order... cmon. The entrees were delicious, but this was not worth $50 plus tip. If the naan had 2 more pieces it would be an easy 4 star

Upscale? No. Butter chicken tiki masala had only 9 small, dry af pieces of chicken in it drowned in sauce, the bullet naan was more like a spicy cracker garlic & butter?? What’s that???, the rice was like rice should be, and the sag paneer was spicy but delicious. One star for the sag paneer only. These 4 items totaled $40, tip not included. Oh & if you want to dine-in with your family, forget about it. Children are not welcome. I was told this on the phone. Overpriced, underserved, & lifeless. But if like expensive crackers & small chicken nuggies, then by all means, try Surya.
