I cannot recommend Susan and her team enough!! My now husband and I met with Susan last fall to do an engagement photo shoot in Central Park. We were blown away by the pictures!!! Fast forward to this fall at our wedding and the pictures were only better!! Unfortunately due to the climate that day, we weren’t able to get the pictures I had envisioned but Susan and her team were beyond professional and the pictures still blew us away!! Susan is hands down the best in NYC!! Also - if you are debating doing a wedding video, DO IT!! The video was incredible! It incorporated our wedding song and the shots were incredible!! The best part about working with Susan is that she sent us sneak peaks days after the wedding and we got our full album within weeks!! We are currently waiting on our hand curated photo album by Susan and I just know we are going to be blown away!!

We hired Susan Shek to photograph and capture our wedding on November 5th, 2022 at Oheka Castle in Huntington, NY. Choosing a wedding photographer was one of the most important wedding vendors we focused on. After all, they spent almost the entire day with you. Since they are with you for the most emotional moments of the day, we looked for someone who made us feel comfortable and who would pay attention to every detail. After researching and communicating with many of the best photographers in the NYC area, we hired Susan very quickly after a phone consultation. We were instantly impressed with her website, service offerings, speed in replying to us and the other reviews we had read. We met Susan in person for the first time during our complimentary engagement session at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Having an engagement session built into our photography package was one of the reasons we gravitated towards Susan. It was a perfect opportunity to get to know one another for a few hours. We had a great time and felt at ease that we would be in good hands once the wedding day arrived. We received our photos so soon after the engagement session- it was the most pleasant surprise. She captured so many special details that we hadn't noticed even occurred. We had so many favorite photos, it was hard to narrow down. As with many wedding vendors, Susan contacted us a month before the wedding day. We gave her all information, requests and details ahead of time to make the day of run smooth. The day of, Susan brought a huge team of photographers and assistants. Our wedding planner and a few of our wedding guests who are professional photographers were in awe with the team Susan brought and how professional and respectful they were. We couldn't have asked for nicer people to be a part of the entire wedding day. We gave Susan a lengthy list of inspiration pictures and family arrangements. She got every single picture captured. After the wedding, we went on our honeymoon and received all of our touched up wedding pictures less than 4 weeks from the wedding date. We are so excited to work with her on creating albums and printing portraits. The dynamic with the photographer as a wedding vendor is very different than other vendors. This relationship lasts well after the wedding day. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Susan and hiring her for many more occasions to come when we start our family. If you're looking for a wedding photographer, or any photographer- stop and book Susan! Susan was the first vendor we booked for our wedding, which was on December 10, 2022. We met Susan through my husband's brother, who booked her for his wedding. Immediately after meeting Susan and her team, we knew that we had to book them for our own wedding. Susan and her team's professionalism, vision, and quality is unmatched. Our engagement photo session in Central Park last November was out of an autumnal fairy tale. Susan immediately made us comfortable with posing and being around other people and the pictures truly speak for themselves. They are absolutely stunning. Susan is constantly available and she always managed to calm me down when it came to any issue that came up for the wedding-- whether it be wedding timeline, locations, decor, etc. On the wedding day itself, Susan and her team came on time and everyone was incredibly friendly and professional. On a recent trip to New York I undertook some mentoring with Susan and was absolutely blown away! Not only was Susan incredible in the way in which she interacted with the couples we worked with but she provided me with an abundance of insight and guidance which has definitely helped elevate my own photography. Hi so I am convinced Susan is the absolute best photographer in the game!!! She shot my rehearsal dinner and wedding and captured absolutely every moment beautifully. Perhaps more important- she made me and my wife feel so comfortable in front of the camera and completely at ease throughout the day. She and her team are completely professional photographers while also being a lot of fun as people - they had us genuinely laughing in photos which you know makes a difference in the final product! Susan captured our engagement photos in Central Park and Dumbo in July 2021. When I first inquired, she responded very quickly and was more than willing to jump on a call to talk through my vision for the shoot, the different locations, outfit choices, etc. Susan also went above and beyond during the shoot itself — she gave us great direction, scaled a slippery rock to get the shot, walked several miles to reach a spot in Central Park where I wanted photos, even drove us from Central Park to DUMBO. In total we probably spent 3.5 hours together and she made sure we took photos at all my “inspiration photo” spots. Susan then delivered all of our edited photos in 5 DAYS!! Not only is she super talented, she works fast… which was great because I couldn’t wait to see how the shoot had turned out! Finally, I have to say that Susan as a person is really genuine and easy going — I plan to grab lunch with her next time I’m in NYC :
