Food is amazing. Service is always top notch. I had my mom's birthday dinner, my niece's sweet sixteen birthday dinner and my friend twenty eight birthday dinner at Sweet Basil. With there help we transformed the restaurant. It was just amazing.
Sweet Basil was my go to Thai spot and I miss them so much since they’ve closed. Really hope they’re able to reopen in this area!
It looks like a small unassuming place but it got amazing teriyaki salmon and mango soy protein dish. I spoke with the owner and she said that they've been there for 13 years. But the landlords high rent is forcing them to give up their current space. But they will find a new location not that far away.
Warm, cozy with friendly and courteous staff. Food is unbelievably delicious
I really like their food. Thai wings are always on my order. Spring rolls are good as well. From there you can play around with entrees. I like their beef salad when I do not want anything heavy. They are quick with their orders as well. It is a real nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Great if you want to spend some time and talk with someone.
My go-to thai restaurant, I miss it so much please reopen!! The pad thai and tempura cheesecake are so good.
I love this place. We order delivery from here on a weekly basis, and it never takes more than 10 minutes from the time we hang up the phone to when it gets to our door- no joke. I think the shortest we ever clocked was 6 minutes! The food is always piping hot and fresh, and the fried bits are always crisp and perfect. I can't speak highly enough of Sweet Basil.. love u
Got drunken noodles with chicken, nothing too crazy. Pro: Portions were good. Tables spaces far away from each other. Con: Limited outdoor seating went midday with one other person so wasn’t really a problem, could see this being an issue later in the day
Went to Sweet Basil for the first time last night and the food was amazing. I don't understand some of the negative reviews but what both my date and I had was amazing. My teriyaki salmon may have been slightly over cooked but it still had lots of flavor. My date had the curry duck with coconut rice and it was amazing. They do not serve alcoholic beverages but my cranberry juice was just fine. I would definitely go back. I also had the Thai wings because I couldn't resist and that sweet Thai chili sauce was amazing. Edit: went there 2 weeks ago and ordered duck curry. The food is still amazing
Not sure how other reviewers could find the food here bland, perhaps they are experimenting with the spice level for Brooklyn. We ordered a wide sampling from the menu and everything was very tasty. Or good was fresh and delicious. The crispy duck was very crispy with a nice level of spiciness.
