We offer unique, customized buffets, plated meals, platters and drop-off deliveries.

As a child, Greg served food from his kitchen window to the neighborhood children while his mother was at work. His dream, since age 9, was to someday have his own food business. After 25 years of management in the hospitality and restaurant industry, and graduating from the Colorado Institute of Culinary Arts, Greg decided to move ahead with an idea he had as a child.

In June of 2001, Sweet Hickory began as a food catering business in metro Denver. It was developed as a Denver based, "Colorado Style" catering business utilizing only the highest quality ingredients. Meats, fruits and vegetables were purchased from local markets and distributors (and continue to be).

By providing great food, and word of mouth advertising, Sweet Hickory has and continues to provide food services for the University of Denver, The Denver Post, and the The Denver League of Women Voters. Sweet Hickory's award winning BBQ and amazing food can also be found at many local Colorado events like the Winter Park Jazz Festival, The Capital Hill Peoples Fair, Taste of Colorado, and the annaul Colorado Rock and Hog Festivals. In addition, Sweet Hickory is an annual competitor in the Great Kansas City Lenexa BBQ Championship. Our great products have been enjoyed by many famous musicians such as Ramsey Lewis, Al Jarreau, Hazel Miller, Jeffrey Osborne and Kevin Eubanks of the Tonight Show.

Today, Sweet Hickory is known as a Colorado Catering Company, providing over the top food, and personal chef services for all types of events and functions. The services are customized for the customer and the budget. Other benefits include:
