Great salads with lots of choice. Having visited several Sweetgreen locations, the staff at this particular location was considered as unfriendly. We decided to enjoy the salads, two Harvest Bowls in the park rather than inside, as there is no seating space whatsoever.Food: 5/5
LOVED IT: I love fresh greens and vegetables as I find here. Loved the green choices: arugula, romaine, spinach, kale LIKED IT: The selection of toppers. MEH: The dressing flavors. The staff interaction. Nothing bad. They were curteous. Just meh-no going the extra. The flavors were a bit meh. Maybe I should have ordered one of their suggestions. The ambiance. Simple and functional.
I usually order on mobile ahead of time so I can just pick up and go. Today I forgot to order it so I Wen to store and line up. The line is quit crazy at 12:45pm. When I received my salad is already 1:20pm!! I got spicy Thai salad. All the ingredient are very fresh. And they mix the salad dress very well. I really like their spicy cashew dress. It taste similar to peanut sauce but not that strong. And really good with veggies. And I usually a meat person. But their sesame tofu seasoning very well. I can have their tofu instead of meat! Except a long wait, everything is good!
Sweetgreen offers fresh, vibrant salads and bowls made with locally-sourced ingredients. It’s a go-to spot for delicious and nutritious meals in a bright and inviting atmosphere.Food: 5/5
Another stop for salad. I like their blueberry summer and spicy Thai. The lines gets pretty long so it’s always wise to order online and go pick up. Have tried everything on the menu. Fish taco is not as good as it looks. My all time favorite dressing is spicy cashew.
Overall, I like sweetgreen - straightforward and consistent and they’ve always used compostable packaging. I stopped at the Bryant Park sg location long after the lunchtime - around 4pm. Got served right away - they were able to easily accommodate my substitution for fish instead of chicken in a warm seasonal bowl. One note about sg payments - now that I don’t see any potential rewards in the Sg app based on previous spending, I won’t be paying via the app anymore.
Happy that sweetgreen has opened near my work place in midtown. If you wait in line during lunch time, it might take a bite of time. I suggest ordering ahead for pick up. Here photoed is the earth bowl which is one of my favorite.
There's a lot of hype surrounding Sweetgreen - so much so that I had to check it out for myself. And to be perfectly honest, it's a good -- but not great -- salad joint. Yes, their ingredients are fresh. Yes, their concoctions / combos are pretty good but not super unique. And yes, it has a modern feel to it. But aside from those points, which are table stakes for a good salad spot in Manhattan, it's just simply ok. And the lines are way too long during peak hours - enough so that it's worth checking out alternatives in the neighborhood.
Went in today to get a quick salad. Everything was great and got all my options and extra sauces. Had a great salad. When I was paying though the cashier ask if I was paying with credit and after I swiped my card there was a prompt for tipping. It was really confusing as everything was detailed in small lettering and all the buttons didn’t make sense. I pressed three on the pad to see what would happen and as I saw that 3 selected the highest tip amount the cashier took the terminal and confirmed it. I don’t mind tipping and usually I try to give a cash tip but when you this cashier saw the opportunity he took it and was very annoying that he was just accepting payments for people. Not how that should be working assist and explain next time. Especially when there is no line behind me. Happened around 3:30pm 11/22/23.
I really love this place. The menu is healthy, simple and very flexible as you get to alter the ingredients depending on your preferences and taste. Been three times to it during my trip to NYC, and I surely recommend it.
