5.0 Downtown Switchyards Club is nice. it doesn’t get enough love from me as I don’t like to commute in the heart of Downtown if I don’t have to and pay for parking, but this is a sweet spot that employs a lot of the aesthetic and arrangement of all the spaces. it has the quiet cubicles like Decatur, and the openness and layout of Cabbagetown. only thing I didn’t see was a phone booth, which makes sense given there are so many open areas and people took calls quietly in their own little spaces. I thought the openness would make me feel a bit unfocused but it didn’t. I like this location, and will likely make more effort to come here as it feels a lot less crowded and open, with enough lounge and desk space for everyone to own an area comfortably.
Visited for the first time last week while the Cabbagetown location was under a brief reno for the 24/7 conversion, and it was just as comfortable and well-designed as the other Switchyards locations I've been to. The Clubguide did a great job of setting me up to know where to enter and where to park, and I love the meeting rooms! Didn't have a need for them yet, but the option being available is amazing. I only really have two areas for improvement on this space: first, I loved the West Cape Chai tea that was available at Cabbagetown, and would love to see that available here as well. Second, and this actually extends to the now-bookable phone booths in other locations too, but I suspect having the small screens that display upcoming reservations for a room/booth would be super helpful. Especially for the booths that used to be first-come-first-serve, knowing "this one is actually free" and being able to hop in when I get a call would be so helpful. Plus I'd hate to have to interrupt someone who didn't realize the booth/room was booked if it was occupied when my reservation time comes.
As a featured bartender it was great
I didn't have a great customer service experience when inquiring about the space. Instead of answering my questions, I was instead told the space "wasn't a good fit for me". I'd love to have decided that myself by getting answers to my questions, or if they'd offered a day-pass. It could be helpful for Switchyards to get a customer service specialist instead of having the C-Suite manage customer relations. I've been an avid remote worker for years and most spaces are usually warm and inviting! I didn't get that at all from this interaction. Looks cute tho.
I was only there for a private event but I think the space was good.
I love this place! I’ve had a membership here for over a month now & it was the best decision I could’ve done. Relaxing, great place to get work done & also a very innovative way to network. There are three levels of membership coffeehouse, desk w/o window & desk w/ window. Regardless, you’ll be satisfied. The coffee is amazing, the aesthetics are so “Atlanta” vibes are chill- don’t listen to me, just hurry up & take a tour & see for yourself.
Great place for startup and entrepreneurs. Great coffee place to hangout.
Atlanta Fever is in the building. Great place to host an event.
LOVE this place!!! Made in Atlanta and The Consumer Show are their two monthly events. By hosting them to the public for free, they allow people who aren't members to take in knowledge from the event speakers. As someone who can't quite afford a membership yet, I love this aspect about them. It's also a super engaging / welcoming environment, and really encourages people to pursue their passions / dreams. Also super non-pretentious, which is always great. 10 stars.
We've been a member of Switchyards almost since it started. Great place to work, hangout and network. And We haven't talked about the coffee and the events yet, just awesome and also inclusive. As their goal is to build a strong B2C community around Downtown Atlanta, they made it so affordable that everyone is able to join and contribute.
