I have been so happy with our experience at Sylvan. From the start I felt that I got an accurate assessment of my kids’ skills, so that immediately established trust. My kids have enjoyed the tutoring and always come out smiling after. Most importantly, the progress made has been outstanding. There is frequent interaction with the director, including conferences to discuss progress. Rescheduling policies are easy and reasonable. Pricing is competitive with other tutoring programs.
The staff here are helpful and kind! My girls enjoy their sessions and homework has been so much more manageable, especially for my child with ADHD. Both are improving at school, they’re more confident in their abilities, and they really like their instructors! Grateful to have found the support we have found at Sylvan!
We tried several other tutoring options for our child, and we weren't satisfied with any of them. Sylvan has exceeded our expectations in every way. Our child loves going to Sylvan and he has rapidly improved in all areas. Thank you Sylvan team! Update: After a year at Sylvan our child has gone from two grade-levels below to exceeding his current grade-level benchmark for this time of the academic year. We can't thank the staff at Sylvan Learning of San Jose - Westgate enough! Our child is a confident learner now .
Sylvan Learning has been a wonderful facility to help my child progress to the level needed. We had challenge at school to keep up with the peers on the comprehensive reading and home coaching had been dramatic without much success. Then I found Sylvan. It has a great incentive program that not only encourage the kid to learn out of their own, the results also come really quick within just a few weeks of session. The feedbacks from the school have been surprisingly positive in terms of the progress made. I am just very happy that Sylvan is here to support our. family needs for the kids education.
We've had our children attending Sylvan for a few months and have continued to be impressed. Not only are they making great progress, they also receive incentives to keep them motivated. The center and director are also very professional and do a great job of keeping us continually updated on their progress. So glad we decided to sign our kids up. My only regret is not doing it sooner. It's worth the time and investment.
My daughter has been attending Sylvan math classes/tutoring sessions for 6 months now and it has been great. She started out 2-3 grade levels behind and in this short amount of time she has mastered skills for 1.5 grade levels and her confidence in her math abilities has skyrocketed. She loves her teacher Gary and actually looks forward to her sessions. I would 100% recommend Sylvan.
Our family had been continually impressed with Sylvan. Our children have been going to this center throughout the years and have made great progress in a math, writing, and reading. The center is very well organized and has kept up with communication regarding our children’s progress.
Sylvan has helped my daughter tremendously! I was worried about her reading confidence and progress after our first parent teacher meeting. She was at or slightly behind her grade reading level just entered first grade and trying to work with her at home wasn't working. I looked at different tutoring programs and decided to give Sylvan a try. I enrolled her in the beginning reading program with sessions twice a week. It has been a great investment. My daughter ended first grade testing above her grade level, and she has so much confidence in her reading. She looks forward to her sessions and wants to continue into the advanced reading program.
They are very professional to help students learn and succeed, and also to make them FUN! My son was struggling with functions and graphs in Algebra. I asked for help to Sylvan which was an immediate success for him. They strengthened his understanding and made him more confident in school. I highly recommend them. My two boys 7 & 10yo really like taking writing classes at Sylvan. The kids are great students but Sylvan gets them excited. The system Sylvan uses provides rewards and positive feedback for them in a way they enjoy and we can see the improvements in their writing. Writing is so dependent on the process that I’m glad we found a place where they can get consistent practice without the regular pressure of school grades.
