Over my career with Central Embassy, Bangkok Thailand. I have worked with many Architects and Interior Designers during my time with Synthesis Design + Architecture, Alvin Huang who is the principal is by far and away one of the best and most dedicated Lead Architects I have worked with. No matter what will be the idea and requirements or tasks Alvin and team was there to lead the way to successful completion of design and to give details until the contractor can work on the design. I had the opportunity to work with Alvin on the Central Embassy (Bangkok based mixed used retail and hotel Park Hyatt) from 2008 to 2010 when he was a Director at AL_A. His passion and dedication to the project, to his team and to us as a client was impressive. He worked relentlessly in order to meet our demands, pushing design to its best whilst understanding our commercial requirements and constraints as a developer. This resulted in one of the most iconic buildings in Thailand to date. Any client can rest assured that Alvin would closely be involved in any project commissioned given his small team. We commissioned SD+A to conduct a feasibility study of a prospective office building. Alvin and his team are detailed and thoughtful in their approach. Through interviews and on-site visits, they were able to understand the intricacies of our business operations and give us the information needed to make a good decision. Alvin provides insightful opinions about the role that design plays in company culture as well as the expertise that's needed to carry out that vision. We're looking forward to working with him again on our future projects.

Alvin created a bespoke office for me in my London home. He and his team put together a series of concepts following inspiration from my requirements and interests. We then fine tuned the design and functionality to ensure that the final version worked for what I wanted it to achieve. The result is a truly unique space that works functionally and wows anybody who sees it. The various hidden compartments further add to the surprise.

We worked with SDA for 2 interesting projects in Thailand and were impressed with their creative and clever approach to the design. Alvin is good in balancing the architectural aesthetic and the project realities with a deep understanding of client's priorities. The integration of his personal style and an understanding of clients led to a sophisticated, practical, and unique project. The whole team were very helpful, operated responsively and professionally. On top of all, they are a pleasure to work-with, pleasant and professional.
