I generally do not post negative reviews, and I feel bad posting this, because the people that work there are so nice. However, the ground beef enchilada was not very good. The meat was a bit too salty and the enchilada sauce lacked flavor. Their rice and beans were decent. Above all though their hot sauce was atrocious. The red one was sweet and the green one, seemed to have a generic canned taste, I dare say I could have faired better with a can of El Pato sauce. As for their supposed famous taco, well, it proved highly disappointing. The shredded beef although tender was tasteless. The taco also had too much lettuce in it. I wish I could say that this place was amazing, but for the food I had it lacked anything to excite the tastebuds. Perhaps I will give it another try, and order something else, and take my own hot sauce as well.
I love the Taco Marias. My favorite place for tacos. Friendly cashier very helpful and accommodating to my cousin in a wheelchair. Very comfortable place to sit and eat meal. I don't know his name but he's a cashier who has excellent customer service and quick with our order. Very attentive to us. The ladies cook great food. Thank you I would recommend this place to everyone I know.
I am 32 yrs old and my mom has eaten here since they opened when she was a little girl till she was pregnant with me. I have eaten here since I could eat solids and now I enjoy taking my 5 and 6 yr old daughter and nephew. Their food is always hot and always fresh. The service is wonderful and the owner has always gone out of his way to make every visit a great experience. Btw we live in the Cerritos area and drive all that way for some great Mexican food. Definitely worth the drive!
What happened? They were also great for breakfast - Went in late afternoon, ignored by cook / cashier until she was ready to help. Ground beef in burrito was old. sour tasting Can't say I want to go back.
I have been coming here for years. Food has always been great, and plenty of it. I found The King when the the old Hollywood Video went up next door. Lunch for me and my plumbing crew every day with his great menu. If this had ten stars, all of them would be glowing. Keep it up King!
I haven't been here for a few years since I live out of the area so while I was up that way, I decided to treat myself. I had the carnitas combo burrito, my favorite! They fry the meat a bit so it's somewhat crispy but still moist and their beans are so tasty. Add the fresh pico de gallo and it's so delicious! I ate the whole thing! The restaurant has a family feel and the regulars are welcomed by name. It's got a small eating area, about 8 tables as well as a drive-thru. Clean and friendly, would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Been going here with my parents since I was a little girl, now I'm a grown woman with kids of my own and it's still my favorite! BEST carnitas around, love the bean special, enchilada sauce is delicious, everything is VERY authentic! Luis is the best!
Ok. I seen all the good reviews. BUT I waited a while in drive through for 2 carne asada burritos that were actually shredded beef and SMALL yes small!! for almost $8 a piece. Wont go back sorry
If you're looking for a quick lunch, or even a good place to relax and enjoy an exceptional quality Mexican meal treat yourself to the Taco King. The menu is full of great choices and the food is terrific! I have gotten more for less at other places, but I'm a firm believer in the old saying "You get what you pay for ".Try it, you'll be glad you did!
The food and service were great. I ordered an Al Pastor quesadilla and 3 carne asada taco's. My boy ordered a wet combo burrito and 2 carne asada taco's. Needless to say we were full afterwards but we're big boys with big appetites. The only thing I would say is their salsa isn't spicy. I tried the green and the red and neither had my nose running. That was a bummer. Other than that very good food and service.
