First time at this location in a very long time. Much better than the perimeter location. Tons of TVs everywhere. Lots of seating available at tables and booths. The staff was friendly and accommodating when my friend wanted to watch the falcons play the manager came and changed the TV. The bathrooms are located in the back of the restaurant and we're somewhat clean there's like a step off to the women's bathroom so if you're not careful you may hurt yourself. There are three stalls and you have to be careful of what type of shoes you are wearing because if they are rubber soles you may slip. The food was okay. Not to excited about the chicken nachos because there wasn't a lot of chicken. It was more like cheese dip with chicken in the middle. The chips came separately along with some folded up tortillas. The wings came and since it was a split order we were told that the ones that had the red toothpick marker in them were the hot wings but they both tasted the same and look the same. Good place to go if you're a sports fan. Check out my pictures and video for more info Vegetarian options: I know they have salads but a majority of the menu is meat based burgers fries wings etc. Kid-friendliness: They do have high chairs for smaller children Parking: The parking lot is small and there are only two handicap spots. Your other choice is to park on the street or the parking deck and walk across the street. Wheelchair accessibility: The tables are wheelchair friendly and avail to much space. Dietary restrictions: They do have salads on the menu and you can also have salmon.
Taco Mac Decatur 240 W Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur, GA 30030 The Service was good, our waitress was very nice and kind. The food was okay. We order Wings and they were not crispy and the season that was used wasn't flavorful. But other than that for something where you can get a drink, and watch the game it not a bad place to go especially something that closes at 2am. Service 10/10 Food 7/10 Cleaniness 7/10 Overall 7/10 Est.EightyThree
Bernard was very attentive.... Great service and I like he cleaned the bar counter after the previous person got up.... Wings were good and hot... Roasted wings.. I do think they should take that banner down and put a TV there at the bar if possible . I am curious if the parking lot outside full where do you Park. Other than that great experience.
Just really good food! Especially if you’re hungover lol I wasn’t when I went there but I’m just saying. The service was okay but I did like that the manager went around to every table to check on how we were doing. Normally priced, not too much to say about the menu I mean it’s just bar food but they do have a great selection of chicken wing sauces so it’s nice to have my opinions.
Table for 2 for Dinner As we approached, we pulled into the small outside parking lot that is right next to the restaurant. Parking here is free for Taco Mac patrons. There is additional paid street parking in the surrounding area. As we entered, we were greeted by a hostess that had low energy and mumbled to follow her. She led us to an available booth, not too far from the front. After a few minutes, our server arrived. We advised we needed some more time to figure out our beer and food choices. We scanned the QR code on the table to pull up the extensive beer selection. I decided to order a beer flight of 4 different styles and wifey ordered her favorite Margo Cart Wheat. Wifey needed some more time to choose an entree. The restaurant/bar was not busy, but the beer was a little slow to make it to the table. Wifey decided on the Chicken Tinga Nachos and I ordered the Southern Chicken Sandwich with tater tots. We noticed the food was slow to arrive, as well. My chicken sandwich arrived with fries instead of the tater tots I ordered. The server checked his sheet and verified my tots request. He said I could keep the fries and he would bring an order of tots. He made good on that claim and arrived quickly with the order. The sandwich itself was pretty generic and looked like it was on a regular hamburger bun. Overall, it was ok with my tater tots. Wifey’s entree was not your traditional chicken nachos. It was a deconstructed version of Nachos. She received one plate of chips and folded flour tortillas and another plate of a cheesy chicken mixture. She treated it like a huge dip, scooping up the cheesy chicken mix with the chips. She said it was OK and had enough to take some home. Wifey visited the bathroom and advised that it was clean, but “smelled like a sewer”. The place was not crowded at all, but the overall service was slow. This is in a great location and most likely we will be back, but our experience was average.
The only good thing I can say is the hostess/cashier was very welcoming and friendly. It took them 20 minutes to give me a small order of queso and fries to go. The portions of fries was a small handful and they looked like a mistake in the box. They were cold and old, so I don’t know what took them 20 minutes if they clearly didn’t make them in the moment. This place is not expensive, but I think you’d get better quality at a McDonald’s for a similar price.
Overall, the food was pretty good. The starter chips and dip were good—nothing special, but good. My entree of wings were very good! Flavorful, the right amount of spice, and I appreciated that the wings were pretty big. Fries were nice too. They weren't the best wings I've ever had, but I would go back. Also, the cocktail I got Staycation was excellent! It was like a pina colada, but better.
I ordered my food to go and it was absolutely horrible. My roasted Asian sweet heat wings were undercooked and my Brussels sprouts were burnt and mostly crumbs. I was very disappointed then opened the box for my key lime pie and the slice was so small it was unbelievable. I love love love Taco Mac but this one I won't ever visit again. and I wouldn't have given them that 1 star but it wouldn't allow me to post without it.
Great draft beer assortment. Delicious food. Lots of screens to watch sports. Wonderful service. Thanks for accommodating our party of 7.
Jay was our server and she made sure we had the best experience ever. Good drinks, good food and a wide variety put together with excellent service
