Huge portions of food with lots of choices. Especially enjoyed the fat boy and the frozen margarita swirled was excellent. Fast service and the cashier order person was most helpful in making our selections. Would highly recommend

Jeremy Beasley General Manager and his team set the highest standard for hospitality!! I hosted a corporate event at the restaurant, and way more people than expected came last minute. Over 60 people in less than 2 hours! I told him as soon as we realized only an hour before the event. He and his team immediately kicked into gear. Important to note that our guests are not easy to impress, but Jeremy and his team blew us away. Food came out on time, lines were reasonable, margaritas were amazing, and everyone raved about the staff. Jeremy not only maintained an open line of communication with me all night so I could relay messages between staff and guests, but he also worked HARD alongside staff to make sure his team and we were taken care of. Seriously the best restaurant I've worked with in Birmingham. I plan to host all of our future events here. Just don't do what I did and make sure to talk to Jeremy at least a week and a half in advance ; Delicious fresh food, excellent portions, extremely kid friendly, accommodations for ALL dietary restrictions, timely service, and QUALTIY team. Can't say enough.

Excellent, great food and staff, I ordered classic tacos everything separate and they knew exactly what I meant. We were out and they travel better this way. Especially the hard tacos, those will not last the trip home. Good vibe location, Family favorite, and great for a night out.

I ordered the Fat Boy Burrito, a $14.00 plate. The chips are the best around. It comes with chips and a ramekin of salsa and one side which I ordered the queso, which came in a ramekin, as well. The Burrito was full of refried beans but the sirloin steak that was supposed to be in it was minimal. I bit into a little at both ends but literally took five big bites down the middle and got only refried beans. I could have gotten more for my money just down the street at Moe's. Sorry Taco Mama, this was a fail on your part! I gave you three stars for this visit because i have received better before but the time fell way below Taco Mama standards!

Most friendly people everrrr!!!!sophie was a wonderful, welcoming, and cheerful about serving those who walk in. Jeremiah the kind person serving the food as it comes out is always making sure you have everything you need. Best location hands down. Great experience, great people, great food

I ordered catering from Taco Mama The Waites for our quarterly department meeting. Everyone was excited to have this for lunch. Excellent food and service!!

I prefer other locations in Mtn Brook and downtown. This location has messed up an order and made me wait an hour to fix it. It was so bad of a screw up, they gave us a gift card to use.

My order was exactly what I asked for... everything was fresh and brought joy to my tongue palette.. I had the build it yourself nachos and the pomegranate daiquiri...hats off to the chef and bartender...their hospitality is phenomenal... I most definitely will be back Features: Hand sanitizer throughout inside and out and they sanitize tables and utilized are as quick as possible

The vibe is cool here and the margaritas are good. Staff is great, really good customer service. Food is...fine if you like Americanized Mexican food. Not my favorite, maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but a nice place to grab an easy lunch.

Ate at Taco Mama today on a recommendation from someone for a quick lunch. This was my first time at a Taco Mama. We were very impressed! My wife or rdeeed the cheesy beefy taco plate and I did the build your own quesadilla! My quesadilla was packed with the ingredients that I picked and stuffed with cheese! The chips were hot and fresh! The salsa was spot on! We got there wheel they opened and within 15 mins the place was packed. I can see why it was recommended! If your in the medical district of downtown Birmingham and wants some amazing tacos, hit this place up!!
