Taco Mex

This is a great joint for breakfast; the machaca is bomb af. Also the chicken in our other dish was grilled perfectly and was accompanied by the largest serving of avocado I’ve ever gotten from a restaurant. Don’t sleep on La Coconita, y’all. Also I’m attaching pics of the interior because it’s huge and loaded with booths. Also there’s outdoor seating and the deco building is just awesome in its own right :

Wonderful, authentic, home-cooked style Mexican food with large portions, and reasonable prices. Excellent service, and quaint, lovely atmosphere inside. Definitely worth getting over the nearby stripes or twisters. I had a Chimichanga, and a Large cup of Strawberry Cream Agua Fresca, both were terrific. For the price, one cannot have any complaints. For less than $8, I got a breakfast burrito that may not look as good as The Shop's Nob Hill, but comes quite close to it in taste. It was packed with fresh chorizo and potatoes, and it was very good. They didn't pull any tricks. Unless something else comes along, La Cocinita takes the #1 award home for bang for your buck! While it doesn't look like much from the outside and in quite a sketchy area, it's a place worth trying.

This is the best Mexican Restaurant I have been to! The food was very fresh, made to order with generous portions and authentic. By far my favorite Menudo. Definitely worth stopping by and coming back!

Great service, great food; don't let the exterior and ambience fool you! I've been all over the SW, but this was the BEST horchata I've found; incredibly flavorful! Their chimichanga was also huge and delicious! It's packed full of the meat of your choice, fajita veggies, beans, and rice. Their tortilla also fries up really nicely compared to the others I'm traditionally used to. They've only been open 9 months, but their owner, Israel knows what's up!

The food was very good. My burrito gave enough energy to get me through my work day until my lunch. I love the environment and would highly suggest this to anyone looking for a savory taste with a bright environment! I really REALLY love the strawberry water. The entire place is honestly very chill and super friendly. I'm definitely coming back for when I need time to study or just relax a bit.

Another place that only looks different than how it tastes. Bought a quesadilla, surf and turf, and I was not disappointed. The portion is LARGE and the cheese is REAL. None of that processed dairy product you get at some places. Fresh quacamole dip made within 2 days. I'll be coming here more often.

The food here is amazing and the service is excellent. The huevos rancheros was so good and I loved the flavor of the Chile. I also took some Menudo to go and it was one of the best bowls of menudo I’ve ever had! Their lemonade is also delicious and some of the best lemonade I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant if you love good service and good quality food.
