The food was so amazing! Highly recommended Taiwanese style fried chicken nuggets, it taste crispy and not oily at all!We also had intestine casserole in spicy sauce, shredded pork with garlic sauce and sauteed spinach with garlic. Intestine was so tender, the flavor was awesome!!! If you have home sick, come here! You will feel like you are in Taiwan.
This is the best stinky tofu in NYC and N.J. area!! And the intensities with pickle is good as well.
Came here on Saturday for lunch. Based on the reviews, we were had high hopes. We had the hot and sour soup to start, which was ok. We ordered Taiwanese beef soup with hand cut noodles and fried pork chop noodle soup - both has good flavor and noodle was cooked just right. We also tried the juicy buns aka soup dumplings, it was disappointing.. the steamer was not clean. The buns does not taste fresh, it has this vinegar taste in the filling, which I believe it's not normal.. We regret visiting this place...must be an off day...
They have a variety of Asian themed menus and styles, from soups, to fried dishes, to dessert, encompassing beef, pork, chicken, fish and more. The atmosphere is slightly rustic but homely. The service is friendly and does not take long. The spices come through strongly on every dish, so be aware items marked spicy may not be for those with low tolerance. They are able to make some dishes milder on request as well. Spicy here means it turns up the heat without sacrificing flavor, not just sting for the sake of it.
Since I moved here 27 years ago I have loved the food but this Friday 6/08/18 we went for dinner. We almost walked out but made the best of it. We ordered Spare ribs, Pad Thai & General Tao’s chicken. Although it was slow and about 2 tables full in the sushi bar, we had to wait awhile for our food to come. In the meantime we were served duck sauce & crispy noodles. We were so hungry when we got the ribs we ate them although they were over cooked & dry. The other 2 dishes were very good. This is why I gave them 3 stars. I would love to see this restaurant freshened up with new paint and new carpet.
Highly recommend Taipei Noodles house! The best Taiwanese food in NJ!!!
Great service and most importantly, the food is awesome. I'm a picky eater and this place is legit. Their Taiwanese dishes are authentic as they get. Found this place last year and I've been there at least 10x and counting, it's that goooooood. Price is very reasonable and the portion is big. Also, they don't skimp out on the main ingredients that should be in the dish. I leave this joint full and satisfied every time. Only wish they open another store in Jersey City, I'll move next door! Update 2/24/18: just done eating, food coma...i ....need...my.........bed.
Had homemade cut noodles with beef for the first time. Really good.
Love this place! My family has been eating here/ordering for 30 years. Sushi is always fresh, I'm very picky about where I eat sushi because I don't trust many places but in my entire life this place never once has made me sick. I haven't tried anything on their menu I didn't like. It is a little pricey but it's definitely worth it.
More like 3.5, but for this area definitely a solid 4. I appreciate that this restaurant exists in this area, as good authentic Chinese food is hard to find. I got the fried pork chop and rice, the beef noodle soup with flat white noodles default noodles, and the shredded dried bean curd with pork. All three are traditional Taiwanese dishes, and Taipei Noodle House did them well enough that I plan to make this a regular place to eat. The shredded bean curd/pork dish was a bit too salty and didn't have Chinese celery in it, the way my mom makes it. It's ok though, took the leftovers home and sauteed with celery, yum! Would have liked more pickled mustard greens in the fried pork chop dish, otherwise it was good and would get it again. Beef noodle soup was pretty good, not as good as home made, but a decent substitute. The service was friendly and attentive. Can't wait to come back here.
