Taj Mahal Indian Cuisine

First time here even though they have been around for YEARS. The waiter, Antonio, was very polite and attentive. He kept our water glasses filled and cleared our dishes quickly. He was also very helpful with making recommendations. Every suggestion was SPOT ON. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. The atmosphere was also very relaxed. Perfect for a quiet date or business lunch. We were here around 12:30 on a Wednesday and were seated right away. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend.

The service was great! Our waiter Antonio never let us go thirsty and was always filling up our waters. The food was absolutely delicious and since it was my birthday today they also unexpectedly surprised me with a beautiful and delicious desert, for FREE! The interior and exterior of the restaurant was beautiful and also clean. 10/10 food and service and will definitely be returning to eat more delicious meals!

The chicken tikka masala was delicious! The Lamb curry was wonderful too. I highly recommend going if you haven't tried them if you can't tell from the empty dish. Ask for Antonio he was awesome.

Had lunch today and have to say best Indian Food have had in New Orleans area. Very convenient in Metairie area. The service Clifton, Anthony and Andrew made the experience amazing. Helped us with many questions about food and how it was prepared to make the day amazing. They raised the bar and cannot wait to go back. Butter Chicken and Korma Chicken really wonderful and they were so accommodating allowing us to order dark meat on Butter Chicken. Spicy Chicken Wings also amazing. Thanks gentlemen for a great day.

The most lovely evening experience. Cleffton and Arun were extremely kind and helpful. The food was incredible and authentic. The atmosphere a delight. Chai tea . Everything ! Making this place a regular visit from now on!

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the New Orleans area. We’ve been coming here for years. The service is always warm and welcoming, and the food is delicious. Lovely ambience with beautiful art too. Highly recommend.

Original setting in the restaurant, fast and friendly service by Antonio, great, spicy indian dishes. Couldn’t find chicken jalfrezi but the kadai was very good too. Good value for money. Restroom could have been a bit tidier but the overall impression was very good.

This was our first time dining here. The food was excellent and the service was superb. Antonio was our server and he helped us narrow down three great choices. Make sure to get the chicken tikka masala and the naan bread. We will definitely be back!

I've been coming here 15 years. Their curries never disappoint. They have a good variety. I often get vegetarian curries. They do a good job hitting the spice level I want to. The service is great too. Antonio served me last time, and like every waiter at Taj, he never met my glass go less than halfway empty and was very courteous. I highly recommend for any size group. Vegetarian options: Very tasty. Broad range of options.

Best Indian food in Metairie! Service was great, the food was savory, I highly recommend! We were here a little early for lunch, but they graciously seated us anyway and they are open on Mondays.
