It's a bar in Hoboken, so I had ZERO expectations trying to dance, let alone get a drink from either bar. Always busy, the ladies are bad good, and the couples are showoffs . But all in all, I always have fun and the Bouncers are heroes for getting out all the creeps. I didn't eat, but the vibe was cool. Visitor tip bring a towel till fall. It's hot as hell with all those people.
Overall an okay place for a drink and good music. Young crowd & jam packed. Only bad experiences i’ve had are with one particular bartender Ricky or at least that’s what they told me his name is. He’s a shorter hispanic bartender that is mostly at the back bar. He is extremely arrogant and rude. I stood by the bar for 15-20 mins waiting for a drink and the girl next to me said her boyfriend waited 20-25. He spends a lot of time serving his friends who randomly pop up at the corner of the bar, so he stops attending people and serves them right away. he even has the time to take shots with them before tending the bar guests. I had to grab his attention and ask him if he was ready to take our order yet and he said i had to wait my turn, but literally no one else was ordering. Another time he waved his arm up and down, as if he was telling me to calm down? Last encounter with him was after he told me to wait, he served his friends and was dancing and smiling as if he’s throwing it in your face that he doesn’t need to attend you on your time, came over for my order and then took another order right after me. He proceeded to make the other order and serve them first. Then a guy in the corner of the bar waved him down, and he got a beer for him. All while I was still waiting for my drink lol. I continued to wait when he tended to the friends in the corner again, poured a few shots and they all took them. It got to the point that I walked away to find a manager, who wasn’t present. I was directed to a bartender with a hat and a mustache. I shared my concerns and moved along. I went to the same spot and for the rest of the night I overheard him speak to a few others in a rude tone and make faces as if he’s annoyed, at people. This is just one of a few unpleasant situations I’ve had with him, which is why im taking the time to write this. Won’t be surprised if he hasn’t received other complaints. Not sure why people with that way of being even work jobs like that.
By far one of the worst experiences! From the beginning with the service until the end with the ones responsible for the closing! No manners , no nothing! Like they are working in a jungle!Service: 1/5
Never gotten food here; however when I go out at night, I always have a good night!Food: 3/5
Door closes at 1am, bouncers didn’t let my friend and I in at 12:45am. We both work in Hoboken and know the law for bars. But they let their friends in. Not okay from industry people
Good place to party but the "shots" they give by the bar for free its pretty much juice and I get it. Its like giving away drinks but after ordering like $70 in drinks I realized that a gratuity was already added on to the bill you're given on that little cellphone like device card reader. Finally after getting $70 drinks if you only leave the drinks down for a couple of minutes while you're hanging by the table where the drinks are the busboy picks it up and almost runs away with it, keeping in mind the drinks aren't cheap and you're probably a few sips into it. I highly recommend pre-gaming before coming here. Bouncers were friendly and understanding though!
Bar had a very young crowd. Went on a Saturday night. DJ was amazing. Place really packs up.
The staff is incredibly rude and I seriously advise taking your money elsewhere. They ignored me for so long even though I was patiently waiting at the bar and flagging them down. They have a spinning wheel here with drinks and prizes; they let my girl friend spin it, then LITERALLY within 10 seconds I asked if I could spin it and they said that they're not spinning it anymore. Not even 2 minutes later I saw them let another girl spin it. They discriminate either by race or gender, it's obvious but I'm not going to go on a tangent. Either way, it's disgusting, bigoted, and the worst bar I've been to in the NYC area. If you have self-respect, don't go here.
Tally Ho staff took advantage of my friends and I after a few drinks. They over charged us for drinks we did not order, and instead of trying to figure out the bill in a professional or even a half decent humane manner, two of the staff members were completely inconsiderate and not willing to re-examine the bill, and got very defensive and confrontational when questioned. They charged us for more canned beverages than we ordered we didn't drink that many, and were in a completely functional mindset. We know what we ordered, and it was not what was on the bill. I asked to speak with a manager, the manager came over and was as useless as sunglasses at midnight. In addition upon receiving the bill we noticed they had already written in a tip for us. As per the IRS, "Auto gratuity is when a restaurant automatically adds a gratuity charge to the bill of a party. Usually, this gratuity is equal to 18% of the bill and is only applied to parties of six or eight or more. Generally, a restaurant will print this policy on its menu to alert patrons before they receive their bill." Awesome! I would LOVE to pay the 18% gratuity, if not more. Money is hard to come by and after a year of reduced capacity, layoffs, etc, there is nothing more I want to do than help people when I am in a position to do so. However, we were a party of 4, not 6. Their reasoning was "we write in the tip amount on any bill over $200." But this was not disclaimed on the bill, in the restaurant, nor on their website, AND, we would not have hit that $200 mark had they not over charged us for things we did not order.
Awesome DJs with a professional sound-system in Hoboken. Definitely good music vibes
