Delicious food! I got one of the salads from the refrigerated case, but couldn't have the dressing, so one of the employees was kind enough to take the salad back into the kitchen and switch it out for me. Good food, reasonably priced, great service. Would recommend!Dine in: NoOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Talula’s Daily is a gem. Country-chic with delicious fresh baked goods and savories. The store is neat and clean with a bustling hive of busy workers on premises, baking the fresh sweet treats as well as the take-and-go salads and sandwiches. Plenty of fancy selections for larger meals and gift basket items. And, of course a full array of fresh coffees, teas, and cocoa. There is no seating indoors and masks are required, but there is seating outside along the side of the building. In this part of the city, the sidewalks are generous, so sitting outside doesn’t feel at all crowded as it does in other parts of the city. Such a lovely spot!
I stopped in for a chai latte and some pastries. The chai is house-brewed rather than from concentrate, which is great. I also purchased the cornbread and Jewish apple cake. The apple cake was delicious but I thought that the cornbread was just okay.
Beautiful decor. I had corn bread, croissants and cappuccino all of which were perfect. Only improvement I can recommend is to somehow try to use less disposable plastics for each pastry each one individually wrapped. Thanks again tot he barista that rushed to get my hot water to warm up my baby’s milk bottle :
Went for dinner for the “secret” supper club. The food, drinks and service were all excellent. Food came out well explained and had interesting variety and great flavor. The monthly menu is published ahead of time, so check it out before making a reservation. We will definitely go back. As a tip, they will bring you cocktails from Talula’s Garden next door, so ask for that list.
Talula's daily is a great place to stop for coffee and a pastry and a pretty nice dinner option. I am a huge fan of their rotating scones and the pastry case in general. If you see the pb and jelly bar or the ham and cheese croissant get it! Egg sandwiches are great in general but the ones in long rolls are better than the ones on loaf bread. The set menu dinners are fun but for the price I rather go next door to Talula's garden.
Group of 6 dined in for the supper club. Overall, the food was very good and I have no problem wanting to go back. Food was very comforting and filling. $55/pp was really reasonable for a 5 course meal. If you're a cheese lover, it's definitely worth a try. Service was very nice and they explained each meal every time it was brought out. If they have a special dish of the day and the group wants to sample just a bite, I would say you could get away with one order despite their recommendation of one order being good for 2-3 people. That was my only regret from our dining experience. Do plan accordingly because as they say, dinner could take up to 2+ hours.
My friend and I had a great time at Talula's Daily. It was an epitome of a cozy place with great food. The tasting menu along with the beverage pairing was absolutely worth it, and I particularly loved the duck with springy vegetables. The duck was succulent, and Snap Peas and Asparagus paired really well with the Watercress puree. My friend enjoyed the Spaghetti Olio with the Foccacia bread, and it paired really well with the recommended Riesling. Our server Andrew was also very well informed and courteous throughout the meal. I can't wait to try what they have to offer, the next time I visit. I highly recommend this place!
Cute little cafe that has Bakery and home made food items wrapped for a quick pick. I stop for specialty coffees during a grueling week day.Food: 5/5
What a magical little place. You might as well go downstairs into your nana's kitchen. Buy a drink, like the austin - a lavender green tea latte that, at the risk of sounding cliche is in a word: divine. Or buy some food like a tomatoe, avocado, grilled cheese with a side of brussel sprouts. The server uses a piece of wax paper to pick up the sandwich, heats it if you want, then brings it to you on a plate cut in half diagonally, the only true sign any human cares for another. Take your time to enjoy, linger. Pick up some lovely cheeses or ready made things for home. Notice all the quaint details like the little upcycled glass bottles they use for fresh cut flowers and the antique decor. All that's missing is a little nook you can curl up with a blanket and nap in.
