My bill for one person was nearly $18 for lunch. That's fine but for the price I could eat anywhere. Somewhere with comfortable seats and a pleasant atmosphere. I asked if they served chips and salsa with the meal. The waitress said yes but you have to ask for them as she handed me my meal. The best part about a Mexican restaurant is snacking on chips while you wait for you meal. I had to go to the counter to get a drink refill and napkins. The food looked great but lacked flavor. I won't go there any more. For the price I can eat anywhere.
A traditional lunch with traditional Mexican-American dishes. Enchiladas smothered in melted cheese and red sauce, a crispy chile relleno, traditional tacos in the hard shell, rice with kernels of corn and other interesting bits and pieces, thick refried beans, corn chips and red salsa. There was one item with a difference - Mexican egg rolls! They were quite good, crunchy and also chewy, served with a small side of tasty green chile. I would like to go back soon just to try them again. On a Sunday afternoon, the place was moderately busy, but the two young women working the dining room were attentive and cheerful.
Not busy, immediate service! Food on table within 4 minutes. Food is good/delicious. Plenty of seating, Fun music.... Vegetarian options: They will make to request. Parking: Parking lot right in front of entrance. Wheelchair accessibility: On ground level
We have been here in the past but it's been a long time. We usually come for the tamales by the dozen. Hopefully those haven't changed like everything else.. the service was incredibly slow. The waitress was on her phone the whole time and had zero personality, not really friendly at all. We ordered our tamales to go when we put in the food order but they were forgotten. We waited for nearly 45 min for the mediocre to not good food to get to the table and it was cold. The beef tacos were terrible, the rice has zero flavor. The restaurant was decently clean but the flies were horrible.
Let me start by saying we have been loyal customers of your restaurant for at least 10 years. It has always been a meeting spot for family and friends traveling from Parker, Lafayette, and the downtown area. This morning, Sunday September 17 at 11:20 am my husband and I arrived to meet 4 others for lunch at 11:30 and to get a to go order to take to my sons place of work. Upon our 11:20 arrival we said there would be a party of 6. We were told that we would have to wait till our entire party arrived to be seated The restaurant was EMPTY. There was only one table of 4 that was occupied in the restaurant at that time. My husband and I wanted to have a drink and few minutes to ourselves prior to others arriving. Seeing an EMPTY restaurant we didn’t think this was an unreasonable request. So we said we would take a table for 2 and move when the others arrived. We were informed by the very rude waitress after ordering a drink and appetizers that we “would not be allowed to move” once the others arrived. That we were “disrespectful” expecting them to clean an extra table. When the other 4 members of our party showed up exactly 10 minutes after we had been seated we took our business down the road. Along with the meals and drinks the 6 of us we were planning on spending We also took a $400 to go order to an establishment that didn’t refer to us a disrespectful. I understand the policy if the restaurant was full. But to treat customers with such disrespect in an EMPTY restaurant ultimately cost your establishment approximately $650 as well as the 20% minimum tip we always leave. I hope you take this opportunity to train your staff. Know better. Do better. We have always enjoyed the food and the service at this establishment, but when there are plenty of other options to chose from? We will take out $650 where we are not treated with so much disrespect. I hope you will review the cameras to verify this incident and identify the incredibly rude waitress that ultimately cost your business the loss of a loyal customer.
The sign on the door states it's the best Mexican food. It's ok, not the best I have had. I ordered the chili relleno plate. I found it to be flavor less. The service was great.
spent $16 on a large menudo that was beyond flavorless, had like 3 peices of meat and watery. breakfast burrito i got once before was really awesome but a place that advertises "the best mexican food", you'd think something like menudo would be amazing especially for that price.
Got lunch to go. Quick order taking and prep. The tamales are great, the green Chile is ok. The salsa they serve with the chips is excellent. I'll definitely be back to try more
I got 2 bacon breakfast burritos and they were soooooo good. Is there a reason why the Washington St and sloans lake location make their burritos so differently? Sloans lake location has a TON of mushy potato, where as the one in my pic from Washington st is just right…every single time.
I usually eat at the 104th and the tamales are really good. Decide, I would try this location because it's close to my job. Bad decision. I ordered what I thought were mild pork tamales that were dry and not mild but hot. The Chile cheese fries had no taste. The Mexican egg roll had dry-out beef. I went back with the 10 tamales due to the order being incorrect. The worker proceeds to tell that two tamales out of the paper were not refundable. Well first of all the order is wrong. I told her well you can’t sell any of them anyway, so why not refund all ten. I will never place foot back at this location.
