Tamarack Best Of West Virginia

Cool place to visit if you are in the area. Didn't actually make any purchases. Was very clean and gorgeous and interesting. Liked the different sections of art. Liked how the art could be bought. The meeting rooms looked more like a church sanctuary. Really loved the sculpture art. There is a cafe in the building, but we didn't stop in. Staff were friendly and nice (greeted us when we entered and exited).

A beautiful stop to gain insight of the local artistry. We enjoy stopping to stretch our legs while viewing the handiwork. We are at the cafeteria today. I was surprised with both pricing and quality of their food. We chose seating with a view of their inner courtyard. This was a lovely break for our journey. Also notes changes in their merchandise offerings. This is a must stop.

This is a great place to stop on your way through West Virginia. You can watch local artists at work and purchase their handiwork. The building is easy to navigate since it is one big circle. Parking is easy and convenient. Although I don’t mind paying a premium price to support local artists, the prices here are significantly higher than what we pay at other places for the same craftsmanship.

Wow, I was quite impressed - what a great place for a rest stop. We had a delicious filling lunch, served on dishes, while a pianist played nice music. The food was fresh made-to-order, but fast and reasonably priced (about $10 per person) vegetarian flat bread had pesto, artichokes, roasted garlic, grape tomatoes. The restrooms were large and clean. They also had coffee and ice cream. The walk around the circular building was 1/10th a mile. The art was impressive and expensive, not cheap crafts. Definitely worth a stop.

This is one place you should not miss. The arts and crafts and the workmanship of those crafts are spectacular. Whether you're shopping for a gift or just looking, the place is huge and you can find anything you want from a small gift for under $10 to a huge piece of furniture or piece of artwork. I wish I was a millionaire I would furnish my house with all of the lovely pieces in here. It is all juried and handmade and worth every penny. The grounds are lovely and worth a walk-around to stretch your legs.
