Taqueria Lupitas

I would choose this place over anything. I absolutely love this place. it is the exact interpretation, "the best restaurants are never the biggest ones." It is kind of a hole in the wall. But the food is absolutely amazing. 100% authentic. Fluent Spanish - speaking waitresses, and Spanish music. While it is on the rougher side of Mexican Town, it is okay to visit but I would avoid going at night or with small children. The food selections range from all kinds of meats to vegetarian. Though most of the dishes have animal products, there are some without. There are quite a few vegetarian dishes. There are also all kinds of meat. Ranging from pork to lengua (cow tongue), to seviche (lime acid cooked fish). Really is is just that perfect delicious, grandma's secret recipe, home cooked meal, comfort food type experience. Go here if you want some real Mexican food.

Great little restaurant!!! Hearty portions. You won't walk away hungry! The guacamole was so good as was the chimichanga. This is a CASH ONLY restaurant.

This is a cute small place on the skirts of Mexicantown. Tacos were well put together and service was great. Our waitress was very nice and attentive to us. No complaints this way!!!

This is by far the worst experience I've had. It wasn't fresh. My taco was burned through. It was just not good. I don't know what I did to deserve that sort of food. I just know that I can't recommend it qith an honest heart. Maybe I'll try it again one day, but for now, the stomach ache isn't worth the steak. Sucks, I was told so many good things about that place.

The best Mexican food. Great staff. The smell alone is worth the visit! Great pricing.
