If you’ve been to a Target anywhere else then this location will be a total letdown. Never have what I go for in stock, laughable seasonal “section”, and overall disappointment. I keep going thinking it’ll be different the next time but I give up. It’s way too small of a footprint for a proper Target.
This tiny Target was an absolute disaster! Merchandise thrown all over the floor in the aisles. More empty shelves than I have ever seen in a store that wasn’t in the process of going out of business. Layout is horrible, especially around the check out areas. Starbucks was shut down in the middle of the day on the weekend. Probably a staffing issue. Bathrooms were filthy. Corporate really needs to step in and revamp this location! I love Target, but this particular store reminded me of a dingy old Kmart that’s being liquidated.
So this was only my second time in a target store ever, due to being physically disabled and needing electric carts,I didn't know if target had them. My first time in there I got one and was very satisfied with my whole trip. But this time there was an electric cart at the entrance and I thought I was set. Well the cart was fully dead in battery. I asked if there were more and was told that's their only one for the entire store and would have to wait for it to charge or just try to walk. So I had to go wait in the car yet again for my family to shop. Very discouraging.
Went in to buy an item or two as well as get the free code card for Marshadow. They actually had what I was looking for for once and when I asked for the code card the manager claimed that you had to pay a certain amount to get the code card despite Pokemon's own website clearly stating no purchase necessary to obtain them. Generally bad store with scamming manager.
There’s a lot packed into this tiny store. Staff looks overwhelmed, but many are chipper and willing to help. The store is a mess, but that’s because customers leave half eaten packages around. I found a container of warm eggnog on a shelf, half drunk. Employees don’t drop clothes all over the floor and dressing rooms- that’s customers. So sad that these people work hard and get complaints about 11 year olds doing TikTok’s. If I can’t find anything on the shelf, employees are willing to order it for me. Customers need to do better, not employees.
Targets in my experience have usually been better than any local Walmart. This is not that place. This is the worst Target I've been to. If you remember Kmarts, not in their prime, but in their decaying years, this is reminiscent of that. Except without the Kmart prices. My biggest two beefs with this place are that it clearly takes advantage of the college aged students nearby, both for labor and for jacking up prices. The second problem being the people who I'm assuming based on age are management and NOT in college, are 9 times out of 10 the worst people to have to deal with. The prices are easily 10-20% higher on nearly everything than you can find at the local Walmart, an exit down from here. It's pretty consistent on raising the prices of anything from bedding, utensils, kitchen appliances, and dishes. You know, the things a college student tends to need. Considering they're one of the few places within walking distance, they take full advantage of that fact, rather than giving them a break as they literally buy these things for themselves for the first time. I've seen things like an air fryer go for up to 40% more than you can get it literally anywhere else. And if you run into a problem with something scanning wrong, or using their price match system to attempt to fix this? Hoo-boy, enjoy talking to the slowest and angriest management ever. You can't convince me they don't do it on purpose, since they ask you "are you SURE you want to do this?" like, "You want me to waste 30 minutes of your time so you can save $30?". Like, are you serious? Why does it take that long? Why are you, personally, so mad about it, do you own stock in the company? The store is mostly in order and clean. The food selection is bare minimum, but can supply stuff in a pinch. The clothes section is usually constantly under reorganization, but they carry only the most bland outfits without much personality or color they did have a Pride setup during the summer months that was pretty good. Their winter selection is not sufficient for Vermont winters either. Overall, go here as a last resort. Take the bus to Walmart for whatever you can. They've got stickier floors, but your money will go further and you won't feel like they don't want you there
Rebecca, one of the store managers was extra helpful with finding what I was looking for. Bought the new Google Home Nest speaker. They ring you up for the "fancy" stuff at a different register. The store was clean, the shelves were well stocked and everyone was super friendly.
Not nearly large enough to support the Burlington area. Always cleaned out of stock. Employees are unfriendly and disinterested. I only go because it’s the only Target outside of driving all the way to Plattsburgh.
I was excited that VT has a Target but was very disappointed with the mess and customer service. I shopped in this store on Monday June 27, 2022 and walked out with nothing but a Starbucks coffee. In MD, the two Targets I go to are very well kept and the people working there are friendly and helpful. Target is one of my favorite stores! This Target had clothing on the floor. Shelves and tables in the department store area were messy with what little they had in stock. Workers were chatting it up with each other. You feel like you are bothering them just being there, let alone asking a question. A lot of standing around talking. They also are not wearing red shirts and khaki pants, so they are harder to spot. They wear all shades of red shirts, from orange to burgundy, and jeans. They look like customers who have stopped shopping to talk with each other. Meanwhile, boxes of inventory sit there on handcarts. I did see one lady working in the bra and underwear department. She looked unhappy but was stocking the area. We went to the Llbean store next. It was the exact opposite. Excellent customer service. Clean, organized & tidy store. Workers were helpful and friendly. No clothing on the floor or in piles on tables. Maybe the VT Target should have Llbean train their staff? *I did not visit the grocery. So I can not review that area of this Target.
Love Target for my kids clothes. They always have the best stuff at such affordable prices. In fact, we just got a pair of Cat & Jack pink shoes for my 3 year old yesterday. They were a great price and I love the brand.
