Tasting House
"We believe most wines are better with food, and most foods are better with wine. A perfect pairing is an experience everyone should enjoy....often. Our unique approach to food and wine means we are "wine first". We first curate the wine list which includes more than 50 wines by the glass and half glass, and then design a food menu that specifically complements the wine. The executive chef, Julian Silvera, is passionate about sourcing hyperlocal ingredients and has a strong focus on sustainability. The Tasting House has two venues, the Wine Bistro, a casually elegant dining experience open from 5PM-10PM and a Champagne Bar which serves Champagne, wine and tapas in an informal setting & outdoor patio open Noon to 10."

Love this place! Very cozy, stylish, stunning atmosphere and great food. Service is amazing. We like to come there and also tried a new tasting menu and highly recommend it. It’s quite an experience with very unusual serving and interesting mixture of tastes. I alway feel very warm and welcome when I come there.Food: 5/5
Tasting House offered an atmosphere featuring live music that set the right tone, drawing in a diverse crowd from chic patrons to laid-back weekenders. The service was very attentive even during a bustling evening, a true team effort that didn't go unnoticed. While the food hit the comfort mark, it was the wines that truly shone. Without a doubt, Tasting House is the go-to spot for a lively and enjoyable night, whether you're hanging out with friends or sharing a romantic evening.
Love this place for dinner and/or just drinks/dessert. The hubby and I are club members, so we frequent this establishment. The staff are all very friendly and educated about their wines. They recently brought in new chefs, so we decided to have dinner, since we usually do just dessert/wine. Hats off to Erika, Mary, Curtis, JP, Dino, Enrique, Bryan and Emily who always greet us personally upon arrival. And every now and then, if we are lucky, we get to say hi to owner Denise. : A few things we tried recently: Escargot – tasty but lukewarm in temp prob minor fluke Hamachi Crudo – a must Venison Tartare – a must Beet Salad – a must Squab – love the way they prepare this off the bone Steak Coulotte – super yummy Trout – super yummy Some things to note: Parking is easy as there are plenty of street parking and also a designated lot. Would def make reservation if you’re dining on a Friday/Saturday; they get pretty packed. There’s live music some days of the week/weekend. I think Wed-Sat? Only wine/champs – no hard alcohol. Kid/family friendly, but also a cute date night place. Outdoor dining offered. Will be back!
Last minute reservation turned into a beautiful dinner. The Tasting House took over the former Cin Cin restaurant location. Tasting House offers wine pairings with small bites and dinners. We decided to order a bottle of bubbly to share and it paired perfectly with everything we ordered. We started with oysters on a half shell and truffle parmigiano pommes frites. For our entrees, we enjoyed the croque madame and the grilled king salmon. Both dishes were delicious and perfectly prepared. Our server Marius was excellent. To end the evening, we enjoyed the chocolate creme brulee and divine housemade beignets with various sauces warm hazelnut chocolate, espresso anglaise and raspberry coulis. Simply decadent. Vegetarian options: They do offer vegetarian options. Parking: Parking is challenging, but more parking available towards the back los gatos parking nearby.
It used to be a very cool authentic place with french menu twist and a huge selection of menu items food/drinks. To my biggest disappointment I found out that the chef has changed and the restaurant completely removed the tasty old menu. Instead they came up with a very tiny selection of food that is not tasty, not french and not hearty at all. Very limited selection of UNtasty items. I wash shocked. Literally nothing to choose from with $30+ prices for entrees. French soup is gone, beef wellington is gone, duck breast is gone. All of the great appetizers and the charcuterie plate options by country are gone!!! You have to wait forever to get served and the food comes out late. Scratching this one off my list. Not to come back.
4.5 stars, really. A nice selection of food, with suggested wine pairings. The food was great; the service friendly; the selection and quality of the wines excellent - albeit a bit expensive. We'll be back.
This is just a real great restaurant I had short ribs which there menu said we're 72 hours marinated and they were the best I ever had as appetizer we had a butter nut soup which were just great total bill was below my estimate but this is not a cheap place and this is fine with me there had live music a lady was singing a little bit like Ella Fitzgerald with a piano as support I cannot wait for my next visit. This is a great addition the the south Bay
Live in Los Gatos and can't believe it took us this long to head over there. Did a double-date night with our closest friends and it was...all that and then some. Paul our server was pure gold. Curtis the Sommelier delivered again and again with style. The menu options could be explored again and again. We probably did 8-10 courses and everything was a serious hit. It's not cheap, but it's totally worth it. Looks like we have a new regular spot.
I love this place for multiple reasons. They do excellent wine and food pairings, and the food is amazing. I’ve had multiple dishes and enjoyed them all, but especially love the duck confit egg rolls. Their shop next door has a wide selection of wines, cheeses, chocolates, pickled items, dry pastas etc to purchase to go. I’ve made client gift baskets here, as well as a picnic basket to take to Music in the Park. Great service, friendly clientele, and excellent quality in every way.
Sat for 50 minutes before our first wines showed up and another 30 for our soup and salad. Forgot half our order. Received duck rolls instead of tuna- I hate duck. No offer to remove from the bill even though we didn’t eat it. Ribs were either under cooked and fatty or so tough we couldn’t get anything off the bone. So……below average food and sub par service. The waitress was nice and basically just had too many tables. The wine list is diverse and of pretty good quality. The cheese selection is also good. I’d say save your money for dinner. Lots of higher quality places in the area for a fraction of the cost. Save this place for cheese and wine.
