Definitely a smaller place in terms of size but my experience here was amazing! Staff was very friendly and it didn't take too long for food to come out for my group. Really enjoyed the bean dip and arroz con pollo, they were quite tasty. My group also loved the chicken fajitas and chimichangas. Quantity was great and food was a very reasonable price. Would definitely come again.
This is a brown paper bag experience that leaves no compelling reason to return. I mean, it's not bad, just not real good. Meh! Years ago, Taxco was delicious. I stopped going after whatever change they went through. I noticed a significant shift in the taste profile. Well, nothing has changed. The service is mediocre. The inside smells like a wet dog, according to my little ones. The outside space is spartan with 1 of 3 TVs operational. Now to the food. Average at best imho. The carne asada lacks any real flavor. You can tell there is no passion or zest going into the preparation. I cannot in good conscious recommend any of my friends eat here. There are so many better options. A few just happen to be right down the street and others within reasonable driving distance. Save yourself an average culinary experience.
One of the best in Atlanta. Food is awesome. Service is excellent. It’s an older Mexican restaurant and has miles on it. Go for the food and drinks.
Great go to place for Mexican food. The quality is fantastic for the price you pay and the food is always great. Gave them 4 stars for service and atmosphere because sometimes when it gets really busy the service suffers and the restaurant gets extremely loud, but when it's not busy the service is great and the atmosphere is chill.Food: 5/5
Fun atmosphere even at early lunch on a Friday. TVs for soccer game, etc. Food was good, Service-very attentive, fun atmosphere, cozy inside with outside dining opportunities: weather permitting. Looking forward to going back.Food: 4/5
Out of the blue, me and my husband came to this resto. It was easy to find this resto and the foods were so delicious!Recommended dishesEnchiladas, Extra Salsa, Taco
It's average. Won't blow you away, but won't disappoint if you're craving hardshell tacos and Tex Mex basics. Nothing SPECIAL. Drinks are cheap however Service could use improvement
Came in with low expectations, and was blown away. Fajitas were outstanding. Too many times chicken fajitas are plain, drab and devoid of flavor.... Not these... You don't even need the tortillas. They are seasoned and cooked so perfectly!!! Peppers an onions were carmelites so we'll. Also, exercise caution with their house margaritas. They will slap you in the face in such a good way. Will be back for more!
I ordered food togo for a friend to pick up on their way a few days and the food was ready super quick. Upon opening I realized that one of our meals was wrong and I called to see what could be done. I was already settled, kids needed to eat, and didn’t have time to go back right then but was worried about a potential issue with that. I called they were super nice and empathetic and put in there system that I could come back for the right item another day. I have on occasion heard that from restaurants and then when I go to try and cash in on these “credits” there is no credit to be found so again I was concerned. I called today to get my enchiladas and they had me in the system, apologized again, and had it ready right away. I can deal with the occasional mistake at a restaurant no problem but great customer service and hospitality is invaluable. I really appreciate them taking care of things with no fuss and my enchiladas note some bites already gone are bombbbb!!! Highly recommend for authentic Mexican food!
Taxco is a great place to go for Mexican food if you want something that is fast, east, and delicious. It's a small restaurant so it can get quite loud inside at times, but it's great overall.
